Wild chase ending in a multiple car wreck in Houston to catch a murder fugitive out on PR bond from a judge in Chambliss County (says South of Austin).
Cut off ankle monitor. Stabbing murder from 2017. Asked for a reduced bond after 2 years in jail. Judge said PR bond with ankle monitor.
Why can’t we have trials sooner?
I would have been just as livid.puma guy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 2:08 pm A judge released an armed robber on PR that robbed 5 pharmacies in my city, Pasadena. He was caught red handed by one of our patrol officers who followed him in his patrol car as the actor fled on foot. He was turning to shoot when the officer ran him down. He had already shot at a father and his son when they were behind him attempting to get his license plate number in a precious robbery. When he committed the robberies he was on a PR for possessing a firearm. The judge just continued his PR instead of a new bond. Our Chief at the time and the PD were livid as you can well expect.
I agree, but judges have tremendous power and with it the ability to make dangerous decisions with impunity. In Harris County every incumbent Republican judge lost their seats and were replaced by liberal, progressive, high-minded idiots. The DA, Kim Ogg is also a criminal friendly imbecile. Harris county crime rates are through the roof as any one with a smidgen of common sense would have anticipated.crazy2medic wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 5:05 pm There should be somebody with the power to overrule this type of judge! The ability to not only reject the PR bond but also dock the judge for this incredibly stupid decision
