2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody
A conservative website is posting a report that the State Department notified the Iranian government that two of our boats were missing near them and asked for their help in finding them. Supposedly the Secretary of Defense reported this recently.
Its so hard to imagine, I can't believe it would be true.

Everything out of this administration is a lie. What would be unusual is if they told the truth about something.

"The capture of two navy ships in Iranian territorial waters represented "a severe failure by somebody," according to a former Navy commander once stationed in Bahrain.
The retired officer, Chris Harmer, slammed the Navy's actions leading up to the ships' capture, saying, "Either the naval leadership put these sailors in an impossible situation or the sailors are professionally incompetent."
lets keep up the pressure, I am so happy to see sailors coming out of the wood work to call FOUL on the play.
and now there are reports they sailors were told to LOOK happy, well of course they were, oldest trick in the book.
watch the videos, no one is blinking morse code either

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody
Fast forward to today, and Iran announces they're releasing 4 Americans as part of a prisoner swap after 1 year + of negotiations...
Am I the only one questioning the timing of this? It's great to get our people back, but what really happened out there in the ocean? What changed hands??

the story from the administration is total bovine droppings
think about one more issue.
these boats "supposedly" lost all communications.
so HOW would kerry know their whereabouts? if our own NAVY that is right there didn't know the locations of these two boats or their condition?
why would he call the Iranians ? If was so concerned..why did he call the secretary of defense and the commanders in the region?
kerry committed treason, of which he is no virgin in that area.
and if he was told by barry, then that is treason and conspiracy.....

What is the consensus on the sailors, I'm pretty sure POTUS and his minions are well insulated, but do you think that they will:
A. Get a medal
B. Be sent for court marshal
C. Be kept low-key and discharged quietly once proverbial dust settles (or our check into Iranian Treasury clears)

bet they have been threatened not to reveal the event.parabelum wrote:What is the consensus on the sailors, I'm pretty sure POTUS and his minions are well insulated, but do you think that they will:

i would imagine soon we may see some of them spilling the beans, as being CAPTURED is not a secret
i doubt more and more each day that they were guilty of much more than bad seamanship once a "problem" occurred
why was out own forces not looking for them, and how did kerry know where they were?
be nice if one or more of them become whistle blowers and get congress deeply involved.

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody
I think giving them a medal would draw too much unwanted attention but with the clown in chief we have and his mashed potato faced sidekick, who knows?
A courts martial would draw way too much unwanted attention and probably result in the truth coming to light so I don't see that happening at all.
Low key....yes. I'm sure they've been threatened with severe punishment if they dare open their mouths about what really happened. I doubt anyone will be discharged as a result because that risks someone talking. Granted, they could head that off by classifying what happened as double super top secret with the threat of prison for any truth tellers. There may even be rewards for anyone willing to lie to the satisfaction of the clown posse. I think they've got it locked down...at least until a new administration is in office.
Edited to add:
Even if there was a whistleblower most of the country would never hear about it because the MSM would bury the story. There might be a link on Drudge to a story about it on Breitbart but the MSM would go all out to make sure it never got any further. They buried everything negative about Obama and they're trying to bury everything negative about Hillary. If there was no internet with alternative news sites you wouldn't even know this happened.

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody
classifying it above double secret probation. i think could be beat like a dead horse.
hillary still hasn't been arrested or prosecuted for her gross mishandling of classified materials
than add in gen petraeus got flame sprayed for much much less.
then we toss in kerry calling the Iranians....
msm might bury it...but us veterans that follow it closely would be banging on the door to court martial

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody
See author Matthew Bracken's comment at the bottom of this blog post: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/201 ... ments.html. His remarks include:
He is also the author of one of my favorite "future dystopian America" trilogies - the "Enemies Foreign and Domestic" series - as well as an excellent book in the same genre called "Castigo Cay".
For those not familiar with Bracken, he served as a SEAL during the 1980s, and he travels the world over on his own sailboat. There isn't anything he doesn't know about sailing, transiting large bodies of water in small boats, riverine operations, and SOP for these kinds of operations. I have no problem believing this scenario he raises, particularly when the Iran-controlled Shia militias in Iraq kidnapped a bunch of Americans the other day. I'm betting they'll turn up in Iran, and held in exchange for the extortion of future concessions from the U.S.For an open-water transit between nations, the course is studied and planned in advance by the leaders of the Riverine Squadron, with specific attention given to staying wide and clear of any hostile nation's claimed territorial waters. The boats are given a complete mechanical check before departure, and they have sufficient fuel to accomplish their mission plus extra. If, for some unexplainable and rare circumstance one boat broke down, the other would tow it, that's why two boats go on these trips and not one! It's called "self-rescue" and it's SOP.
This entire situation is in my area of expertise. I can state with complete confidence that both Iran and our own State Department are lying. The boats did not enter Iranian waters. They were overtaken in international waters by Iranian patrol boats that were so superior in both speed and firepower that it became a "hands up!" situation, with automatic cannons in the 40mm to 76mm range pointed at them point-blank. Surrender, hands up, or be blown out of the water. I assume that the Iranians had an English speaker on a loudspeaker to make the demand. This takedown was no accident or coincidence, it was a planned slap across America's face.
Just watch. The released sailors will be ordered not to say a word about the incident, and the Iranians will have taken every GPS device, chart-plotter etc off the boats, so that we will not be able to prove where our boats were taken.
He is also the author of one of my favorite "future dystopian America" trilogies - the "Enemies Foreign and Domestic" series - as well as an excellent book in the same genre called "Castigo Cay".

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody
he is very right, I think a huge cadre of folks here agree in his summation. Most of us have stressed many of his points.
Thats what makes the the whole story so unbelievable as told by the whitehouse talking heads.
we just have to keep the pressure on
