Michael Bloomberg spends more than $1,000,000.00 per person living in the United States in his failed attempt to become president says Brian Williams on MSNBC.

He spent $500 million.

A twitter user says he could have just given her the $1,000,000.00.
Think about how much Mini Mike could have really changed people’s lives by just giving every American citizen $1,000,000.00! And then just got out of their lives forever. Could have saved himself $150 million and saved us from listening to his constant ads on every tv and radio station.
I don't think anyone has that much money. There are about 320 million people in the U.S. Bloomberg's $500 million is enough for about $1.50 per person. 100,000,000 times 300,000,000 is 3 followed by 18 zeros. I had to ask the google what that number is. 3 quintillion.
Never do math when naptime calls! Thanks for the correction.
Yeah, me, too. The math is correct; it is about $1.50 per person, but I have no idea what I was attempting to convey by multiplying 300 million by 100 million - should have been 1 million. That number would be 3 followed by 14 zeros or 300 trillion. Still a big number.

Bloomberg is paying the fines of 32,000 felons in Florida, so they can vote in the election. Will cost him $16,000,000.

Michael Bloomberg is such a swell guy!

If you look up the manifestations of high-functioning, clinical psychopathy, guess whose picture you should find? :mad5

Could this not be construed as a bribe under Florida election code - even though he is not the candidate. There seems to be quid pro quo expectation.

IANL, but here goes

18 US Code Section 597 Expenditures to Influence voting

"whoever makes or offers to make an expenditure to any person, either to vote or withhold his vote, or to vote for or against any candidate;
and whoever solicits, accepts, or received any such expenditure in consideration of his vote or the withholding of his vote --
Shall be fined under this Title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the violation was willful, shall be fined under this Tiitle or imprisoned not more than two years, or both"

---------------
Then there's the fact that the offer is only being made to/for black/hispanic felons. All the white felons need to get together and file a class action discrimination suit for being excluded on the basis of race. ;-)

Florida AG defends investigation of Bloomberg's donations to help felons vote

"That doesn't matter what party it is that triggers Florida law. Under Florida law, you cannot directly or indirectly give anything of value to persuade or entice a vote," [Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody] said. "And so, as attorney general, and I believe any official charged with enforcing elections law, we have to be clear about what we are doing, which is why when I asked for further investigation, I attached all the relevant law, even opinions that describe if you target even particular voters that may be predisposed to vote a particular way, that may be illegal."
September 25:
Bloomberg rolls out $40M ad buy to boost Biden in Florida
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5 ... in-florida
The new ad blitz is the first to be announced from Bloomberg since he pledged to spend $100 million in Florida, the biggest swing state in the nation and a place that is considered a virtual must-win for President Trump this November.

The gargantuan buy, which is being funded through the Bloomberg-backed Independence USA PAC, also comes as early voting begins in Florida.... He’s also supported a $13.4 million ad buy in the state with Priorities USA Action and Latino Victory Fund, in both Spanish and English.

The ads will air daily for five weeks in all 10 of the state’s media markets starting Tuesday, the day of the first presidential debate.
