I inherited a 1976 Emma from a friend who was a designer/inventor. One of a kind aluminum bodied one passenger electric car. Goes about 25 miles to a charge. Top speed is about 30.
He designed and built it in 1975 as his answer to the first energy crisis.
Four speeds. Not gears, it actually has four speeds, one battery, two batteries, three batteries or flat out with all four batteries doing their thing.
Street legal. Four wheel disk brakes. Hand cranked windshield wipers. Manual pop up head lights. Monocoque chassis. Plexiglas window glazing. Rear wheel drive.
Natural aluminum exterior finish with a brown vinyl interior (it was the '70's after all) Seems your going much faster than you really are. Too scared to drive it in traffic as I feel I would be
spam in a can if someone didn't see me.
NOM, but I have the original electric motors that it came with.
I'll see if I can find a picture.
Slightly caught it on fire, the first day I had it when I pressed on the gas and had it in neutral. Kinda frightening as all the workings are under your seat and the smoke is coming up between your legs.
It did not come with an owner's manual.
