Frankly, at this point even if he WAS born in Kenya, there's not a whole lot that can be done. If its true, we got suckered. If its not true, its a distraction from the real issues:

This man is an avowed marxist who hates the country as founded and thinks he needs to "fix" this arrogant country (by which he means tear it down to its proper size). If that's not enough reason to vote him out, then I don't see how him being Kenyan or not is going to help people decide.

I just opened the PDF document, which I downloaded from the whitehouse.gov link, in Adobe Illustrator and see exactly what you are talking about. I can't believe how stupid these people are! You'd think they would have just flattened the image, and posted it as a JPEG! No one would have been the wiser, other than speculation. This proves to me exactly what has been said many times before. Just good old Chicago politics in action at the White House! To me this proves without a doubt he WAS NOT born where he has declared, and he should be removed from office. I'll be very interested to hear what he has to say now that this new document has been shown to be a fake. OK Mr. Obama, you got some splainin to do!!!

PDF is actually a form of the Adobe Postscript Printer language. If you know what you are doing to can actually open some PDF files and edit them with a Hex Editor or sometimes even MS Word.

It looks like a scan of a document had the background removed - perhaps was enhanced
then the result was layered over the image of the green paper..

The scan curves to the left lower corner but the pattern on the background is perfect edge to edge ...

Wow. Even if there was no ill intent why would you allow this kind of image out there... ? Just flatten it

I can only think of three possible reasons. I'm sure there are more, innocent or not.

1. It is a genuine document and no one thought about any possible "gotcha's" since they weren't in that frame of mind.

2. If alledgedly the document was faked, the number of people allowed to know was small. Perhaps someone's very close friend was used, someone who was thought to be very good with computers and was not as good as thought.

3. If as alledged by some, the document was fake, The person asked to do so had a moral quandry and deliberately or subconciously left forensic evidence to be found.

While I am a strong supporter of our Constitution and believe any politition, Republican or Democrat should have to prove their Constitutional qualifications to hold office, I also am aghast at the current potential for a Certificate-gate. The country does not need the distraction.

I read somewhere that Hawaii went electronic with all the birth certificate. So my guess would be that the image is suppose to be from that scan and then just printed onto official looking paper. Of course this doesn't address the layering of the PDF document but it does seem feasible for why the image looks like a bound page. Just my 2 cents worth.

Edit: Doing some research, it seems that his uncle and his grandfather both served.

He probably should have had one of the Treasury Department money engraver artists do it. They could have even drawn real footprints and created a real-looking "birth certificate" instead of the tired old "certificate of live birth"

What about Eleanor Nordyke's twin daughters? Were they born in Kenya?
