Police Chase Live on Channel 11-dallas

Didn't this chase start somewhere in the Fort Worth area? Surely some department, somwhere, somewhen during the two hours had an opportunity to bring this thing to a close......

I'm not positive but I think it originated from an unmarked car traffic stop on I-75. The stop was made because the car had been reported stolen and the LEO got a hit on the license plate. The BG took off during the stop.

According the TV reporters at the time, the Dallas PD pursuit policy does not permit PIT maneuvers. When the chase ended up on Love Field, that policy was apparently overridden byt the supervisors following the chase. About the last 1/2 hour, the right rear tire on the pickup was completely blown off and he was dragging the metal.
