The rest of the world thinks that over the long-term, carbon dioxide increases are the primary driver of climate change.philip964 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 4:06 pm https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/20 ... ning-earth

And if you'd read something newer than an article from trumps first month in office, you might be able to get a fuller picture:philip964 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 4:12 pm http://www.latimes.com/projects/la-na-pol-obama-at-war/

the Trump administration launched over 160 strikes in Yemen and Somalia in 2017—that’s 100 percent and 30 percent more, respectively, than the drone-loving Obama administration launched the year before. The attacks in Afghanistan as of January 1 were reaching the same levels as the 2009-2010 “surge,” and we all know how well that’s working out.

And that doesn't include the jump in defense spending under trump, the fact that no step in troops is planned, or that just this weekend trump threatens to withdraw from Reagan's nuclear treaty. Any way you look at it, as bad as obama was, trump's global war is more aggressive than his predecessors.

Again, you should read the articles you googled because they are not in support of you conclusion. Like others you are trying to cherry-pick one aspect of the study and present it in isolation of the whole. Both articles warn of drawing conclusions from isolated data. Higher CO2 levels do not produce more nutritious crops, it's actually the opposite. We know unequivocally that when you grow food at elevated CO2 levels in fields, it becomes less nutritiousphilip964 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 4:06 pm https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/20 ... ning-earth

The concept that higher CO2 levels increases yields and produces more nutritious food, has been debunked for some time. You have to stay current on the research and not rely on papers that miss what has happened the last two years. Grandiose statements without facts are a poor substitute for scientific research, but politicians like Lamar Smith seem to make a career of doing just that.

Too bad. With the amount of CO2 that you generate with your non-stop Trump bashing we could have actually finally realized some value.philbo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 2:28 amAgain, you should read the articles you googled because they are not in support of you conclusion. The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager
Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
During his campaign Trump promised to stuff ISIS back in its box, and he did so.
Knowing sic vis pacem para bellum and having a much more realistic appraisal of our peer and non-peer enemies He promised to strengthen the military and he is doing so.
He was ELECTED to do these things and he’s following through.
Unlike Obama and Hillary he hasn’t started any wars all on his own nor overthrown quiescent governments who posed no threat was us and gotten our ambassador and personnel butchered in the process (not to mention a great many Arabs). He didn’t threaten useless phony red lines and then humiliate the US with “never mind” when they were crossed. He did butcher a battalion of Russians when they had the chutzpah to attack Americans. That kind of military aggression I can get behind.
Trying to complain that Trump is somehow a warmonger because he’s cleaning up the messes left by Obama and Hillary is fantastically absurd and phony.

Why is this not being covered?

A gay man who describes himself as a liberal Democrat is accusing New Jersey Senator Cory Booker of sexually assaulting him in 2014. Booker is considered a leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous for now, penned a lengthy open letter that was posted on Twitter. In the letter, he describes the assault that occurred in a bathroom following a meeting at his workplace, where the two met.

I am not surprised by this at all. Typical leftist to play both sides while excusing their own misdeeds.mojo84 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 12:03 pm Why is this not being covered?
