The prices seem about the same as Kroger's, and every employee I have ever spoken with there was really friendly and helpful. That goes a long way with me these days.bblhd672 wrote:I like the WinCo in Arlington. Might have to give them a bit more business. I've been impressed with them so far.

Yeah, but some are mad at HEB because they don't allow open carry.anygunanywhere wrote:HEB is much more better.pcernuch wrote:i gonna start losing weight pretty rapidly. i cant shop at Target with the entire bathroom foolishness, now Kroger. I'll have to wind up driving 30mins to get to a store!

I guess their thought process is guns don't kill people, gun periodicals kill people

True. I'm good with concealed carry when I shop at HEB. They still carry reading magazines that feature black rifles too.mojo84 wrote:Yeah, but some are mad at HEB because they don't allow open carry.anygunanywhere wrote:HEB is much more better.pcernuch wrote:i gonna start losing weight pretty rapidly. i cant shop at Target with the entire bathroom foolishness, now Kroger. Re: Kroger Stop Magazines With Assault Rifles
The concept of "lesser of two evils" comes into play here. I actually prefer HEB as does my wife. I shifted all grocery shopping to Kroger after HEB's stated policy of discouraging OC. But now it looks like we are moving back to HEB. If HEB does something stupid, then I will reconsider again.mojo84 wrote:Yeah, but some are mad at HEB because they don't allow open carry.anygunanywhere wrote:HEB is much more better.pcernuch wrote:i gonna start losing weight pretty rapidly. i cant shop at Target with the entire bathroom foolishness, now Kroger. Will be interesting to see if they follow up by posting .06 and .07 signs at stores in Texas.Soccerdad1995 wrote:mojo84 wrote:It wasn't long ago Kroger was receiving a lot of love on here for allowing open carry and having the best summer sausage.

Is this the Kroger the more overzealous OC fans were going to exclusively buy their groceries from and boycott HEB, because HEB denied OC, but were fine with CC?

Re: Kroger Stop Magazines With Assault Rifles
I went to a Kroger this morning to pick up prescription and check the Magazine stand and saw that they still had all the gun magazines still displayed. Not sure who wrote the article but it does not apply to the Kroger close to me. I know they do not sell pornography but the gun, car, sports and even the gossip magazines were there. People, learn to respond and not react.

twomillenium,
Are you saying Kroger's gun magazine censorship (in effect) is fake news?
I really hope (if this is in fact the case) you're correct, but I saw, it may have been on a recent Tucker Carlson show, that in fact Kroger did make this de facto censorship announcement regarding gun magazines.
Of course, maybe in certain Kroger grocery stores, the local grocery store managers aren't complying with top managements edict...

Just wondering, how many of you bought such magazines at Kroger before this policy was in place?

Re: Kroger Stop Magazines With Assault Rifles
A long time ago when I was in the retail business, magazine racks were managed by 3rd party magazine distributors. If this is still the case it's possible that the distributor has not been to all of the locations to refresh the racks and remove the horrible assault magazines.twomillenium wrote:I went to a Kroger this morning to pick up prescription and check the Magazine stand and saw that they still had all the gun magazines still displayed. I wonder how they'll handle it when for the magazine that only puts an AR-15 on its cover once or twice a year. Progressive socialist morons.

Re: Kroger Stop Magazines With Assault Rifles
Never. My assault...er, gun magazines are delivered by the postal service for less than a quarter of the retail cost in stores. Just renewed my subscription to Guns and Ammo - 2 years for $15.00, about .63 per issue. Before I had a subscription I bought one issue at retail of $4.99.CleverNickname wrote:Just wondering, how many of you bought such magazines at Kroger before this policy was in place?
