I bought an extended warranty just so they would lower my financing from 4% to 3%. I canceled it the next day and got a full refund and kept the lower percentage. I could have got 0% financing but I took like $1500 in dealer incentives instead. Paid my car off 18 months later and it all worked out.

But I digress, the original dealer charge me like $2800 for the warranty and shopping around yielded an out of state dealer that sold them for like $1200. Shopping around is definitely the best bet :thumbs2:

I got a 108k warranty for my 2014 Ecodiesel Ram for $2200, which was about $2200 cheaper than my dealer offered! Definitely shop around. I got my warranty from Chryslerwarrantydirect.com

When I got my Tacoma I bought the warranty at the dealer to get the financing lowered, I did shop it later and found it a lot cheaper at another dealer online but was lazy and didn't cancel what I bought to get that one...long story short I never even needed the extended warranty. I had exactly 1 repair and that was under manufacturer warranty

Flash forward and I've got a Mercedes which I bought a third party warranty for that was much much much cheaper than manufacturer extended and in one single repair the warranty more than paid for itself. I would never recommend any German car without a warranty purely because of the parts costs.
