I know many people under 25 who are able to balance a checkbook. That puts their math skills light years ahead of Obama and Congress.

Obama doesn't use a check register. He has a pad of checks on each side of the checkbook.

Andy thanks for the post .. my wife and I are still rolling on the floor with laughter. I taught a graduate course (in the sciences) a few years ago at the University of Texas. It's not just secondary education that has suffered .. I was appaled at the low level math skills among graduate students in the sciences (the math department excepted).
There is an afterlife - what we do here matters!
