That song was written by Bruce Robinson from Bandera.


This is not his best version, but I couldn’t find his album version.
It was covered by his wife, who was part of the Dixie Chicks.
I start having eye allergies as soon as it gets to the piccolo player.
Bruce Robison is married to Kelly Willis. His brother Charlie Robison is married to Emily Erwin, one of the Dixie Chicks.

You're right, Old Brain Syndrome!!!

Kelly Willis is one of my favorite Texas Woman entertainers. She is a former Miss Texas. I like Bruce Robison's music much better than Charlie Robison's. Charlie tries to mimic Ray Wylie Hubbard but falls far short. The Chicks were great performers who couldn't keep politics out of their shows, and Emily Erwin was the most vocal. If performers would shut up and perform the world would be a much better place.
