A similar short poem to yours popped up at the Alpine, TX Cowboy Poetry Gathering today:
Mary had a little lamb.
Her father killed it dead.
Now Mary takes the lamb to school
between 2 pieces of bread.

Re: DFW Way Out West Breakfast
This Saturday is March's 4th Saturday, 3.28.20, which is the Hudson Oaks breakfast.
Last week's Arlington count was only 3, due to the restaurant restrictions.
I will not be at any of the breakfasts until we can have an inside place to sit.
Hang in there my friends. As with other of life's problems "this too shall pass."
Happy trails y'all.

I agreet.
I'm sitting out breakfasts until the restaurants reopen.
I expect we'll be able to resume our schedule in April.

In light of the latest developments I'm not holding my breath for a return to normal in April.

Jusme has confirmed that Manny's is open for business. Those who are interested can join us this Saturday at 8AM. I am likely to make it with surprised_i'm_armed. Anyone else care to join?

Re: DFW Way Out West Breakfast
I would love to come and would normally do so. But my wife is going in for surgery this coming Wednesday and we are keeping away from others now for more than the Covid 19 problem. We don't need her catching something else. Enjoy. Hope to see you next month.

Prayers for your wife chasfm11, hopefully nothing too serious. We will miss you, but taking care of her is much more important.chasfm11 wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 6:40 am I would love to come and would normally do so. Re: DFW Way Out West Breakfast
Thanks for your prayers. The surgery is to remove her third cancer. Hopefully, this is the last. But we said that 20 years ago, too.Jusme wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 9:18 amPrayers for your wife chasfm11, hopefully nothing too serious. Re: DFW Way Out West Breakfast
I will be there.
We are looking forward to seeing as many forum friends as possible.
Hopefully Excaliber, jusme, SigM4, baby boy SigM4, diesel42, hackjob, blackhorse1 and bride, and C-dub. There's more forum friends in the area. Don't feel pregnant if I didn't mention you.....just be at Manny's Cafe at 0800!

Re: DFW Way Out West Breakfast
You may want to make sure Manny’s is open we had to go to another place last my month. I can’t remember the name of the restaurant but it’s in a new shopping center east of Manny’s

Sunny Street Cafe
I’ve noticed that Manny’s seems to be hit or miss each day. There was a food truck out front the other day in lieu of Manny’s. I don’t get the feeling that they’ll be around much longer.
