Most enlightening insight into Obamacare so far
You'll see bits and pieces of this on conservative media outlets. There is much more to it than the snippets I've seen so far. This is extremely enlightening and it's a shame it's just now coming to light. It's 51 minutes you will find very informative. It effects your health, pocketbook and liberty.

Re: Most enlightening insight into Obamacare
It is one thing to make an argument that wins the nod of approval and then be mistaken or for a policy to have unforeseen unintended consequences. But to lie, deceive, and cheat a whole nation with the purpose of enslaving them by slight of hand....well that is a special kind of evil.
That sort of behavior deserves a smack down from on high. The book of proverbs has some verses that are appropo.
Take them as you wish, but there are quite a few beaurocrats that I would not want to be on the otherside of eternity.
There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

This are some truly disgusting "men." They need to be hung from the same lampposts as the bankers and corrupt and treasonous politicians. And let's not forget that evil treasonous wretch who stole the idea for Facebook.

None of this is a surprise. I wonder why it took 13 months for this video to surface in the news ?
You may have the last word.

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage”
Referring to the Oregon study, I love how they continue to make excuses for their results
…researchers compared enrollment in Medicaid to remaining uninsured… They looked specifically at the patient health issues of high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, high glycated hemoglobin levels, and long-term cardiovascular …the study found no statistically significant difference between groups in all four measures
Referring to to conservative governors that don’t accept federal Medicaid health care dollars as “I hate gays and love guns…”
This is what happens when you take something that has an emotional element, such as economics involving how people will react in a certain setting, and calling it a science. These PhD wards of the state will stop at nothing to legitimize their own waste of taxpayer dollars and their own existence.
And they condemn the insurance companies for not wanting to take risks…unbelievable and sad. These supposedly smart men have no understanding of how to do anything outside of their own self-proclaimed brilliant mind. Everyone else is just a pawn in their grand experiment (see details of the Oregon Study referenced above for proof).

Once conservatives are in complete power, namely Presidential, is it naive to think Obamacare can't be overturned?
Or, since it slithered under the door of the bamboozled Americans, is it a done deal without recourse?

Some of the provisions can be changed or eliminated. SCOTUS might do some of this. It will continue in some form or another. The stupid people are still here and they still vote. They will vote again next election. This Gruber was an advisor for Romney. Putting an R in the White House does not mean much if the person is the likes of the current GOP slate. A true conservative does not have a snowball's chance.Abraham wrote:Once conservatives are in complete power, namely Presidential, is it naive to think Obamacare can't be overturned?

Re: Most enlightening insight into Obamacare so far
Naive? I don't know... There is economic value in having stable laws. Simply repealing it now (well, Jan 23, 2017) might make things worse, and for just long enough to hand democrats complete control in the next election cycle. At some point, we'll be better off dismantling it piece by piece, just to give people and businesses time to adjust more slowly. It's also possible that the economic problems caused by the ACA are worse than the economic benefits of not changing the rules of doing business, so maybe there are no downsides to just repealing it. I don't know what the case is, but I do know that any serious talk of getting rid of it should at least acknowledge the (potential) issue.Abraham wrote:Once conservatives are in complete power, namely Presidential, is it naive to think Obamacare can't be overturned?

Re: Most enlightening insight into Obamacare so far
At this point I believe an outright repeal would do more harm than good. I do believe a major overhaul and eliminating many of the provisions along with replacing some is definitely feasible over time until Obamacare as we know it now no longer exists. .
Bottom line and I forgot believe this, even Obamacare was designed to fail itself. Therefore, Eben left as is, I believe it would be gone within a few years and replaced with a government ran single payer system.
The system we had was broke and needed to be fixed. The trouble getting individuals with preexisting conditions covered was near impossible. The number percentage of people that do not have what was considered a disqualifying preexisting condition was dwindling rapidly. On the other hand, fixing the financing/insurance part without adequately addressing the skyrocketing cost of health care is like putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound.

Obama care shattered to old system. Repealing it now would not put Humpty Dumpty together again. I'm sure free market forces would eventually bring things back in line. It might take a while, but also might be worth the wait.
I agree that that the skyrocketing cost of health care was/is a major part of the problem. It may not be popular with many, but I've got a two word solution for that.

True competition for medical services would lower costs too.BigGuy wrote:This.mojo84 wrote:At this point I believe an outright repeal would do more harm than good. I think we can chunk it out total repeal is unlikely. In this time I will take whatever I can get.

Re: Most enlightening insight into Obamacare so far
A few of the conservatives that I've been listening to don't want to scrap Obamacare, they just want to make some corrections.. Course, depending on your view, that may or may not be scrapping it.Abraham wrote:Once conservatives are in complete power, namely Presidential, is it naive to think Obamacare can't be overturned?
Or, since it slithered under the door of the bamboozled Americans, is it a done deal without recourse?
Simply removing the mandatory requirement would render it largely useless, at least in my mind.
That being said, I don't find the pre-Obamacare rate curve any more appealing. We were well on our way to financially crippling most retirees that don't have some form of pension-based health care.... Conservatives should watch out for re-implementing a system that was on it's way to total implosion.
