Beer and wine are served at Gexa Energy Pavilion. So no you can't bring a CH in. People are granted DHL for defense not offense so why do you want to take one in?

Care to elaborate your intent behind this?

I just want to re-confirm if Gexa is posted or not, as we are heading there in a few hours. Lots of old information on this and texas3006.com so I am hoping someone went there recently.

For the record, after going last evening, there are no 30.06 signs posted, there is a "No Weapons" sign above the entrance. No metal detectors and they just search bags/purses with the stick...

I was there Saturday night, I did see a 30.06 sign but it was over the entrance to a side lounge they have there. No 30.06 sign over the main entrance. When you do an online search it comes up as a red sign establishment. No metal detectors, no searches. I did leave mine in the car.

I was there last night 9/5/2015 and they had a 30.06 posted in the main entrance area - yes it is in the handicap line, but it is posted and easily visible to anyone going in. They were also wanding everyone walking in. Had to make the long walk of shame back to the car. Just FYI

Was just at the Pavilion for a concert. Saw no signs, but they were handing every person and checking bags.
Concert was on Friday the 20th 2016.

Just went there this weekend for a concert, (5/31/2016) they now have a valid 51% sign posted on the wall of the ticket booth at the gate.

This is going to be the new mechanism for the cities to exclude carry at their venues. They'll get one alcohol vendor to cover the whole place. Don't be surprised if the State Fair tries it this year even though it would only be valid for the buildings.

Not really sure how they did it, but I can easily see most of the profit coming from alcohol sales. 1 beer costs as much as the lawn seats at $9.50, but if there was every a place I would want to carry, it would be there. Bad neighborhood and a bunch of drunk crazies. Last time I went there, someone left a bucket of crap in the back of my truck. Literally, crap. lol

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but since I went there this past Saturday night, I thought I would give an update to those interested. Now called Dos Equis Pavillion, there are no signs posted that I saw, but there is a notice (just no weapons) on their website and there are metal detectors and wanders before you even go through the ticket styles. I got buzzed by the metal locator so they then hand wanded me because of my belt buckle. If I was not so law abiding, I "could" have just stashed my gun in one of the pockets of my lawn chair, because they didn't even check it as it by-passed the metal detector. Needless to say, I left it in my car without incident. Btw, Jimmy Buffett was great as always!

Yup, I ran into the same issue at Verizon Theater in Grand Prarie. They had walk-thru metal detectors and wanding as well.
