He's on some kind of cross-country hike. They discussed it yesterday with the judge. Of course she overruled all the defense motions regarding him.

What is the point of a gun lock with the key still attached?

If that comes in trial is over.[/quote]

Naw, the judge is in the bag for the prosecution, she's not going to allow Trayvon's history. The fix was in way before the trial started. I wouldn't even be surprised if the judge issued a directed verdict, or took some other action to overrule an unfavorable jury decision --but I'm not sure what's possible under Florida law.

Z's old professor testified Z wanted to become a prosecutor.....that's absolute proof of an evil and depraved mind bent on swimming in a sea of political corruption. "rlol"

It's ashamed that you carry for protection and when you do use it, the outcome depends on the color of your skin it seems. This is sad that a man may go to prison for defending himself.

A judge cannot issue a directed "guilty" verdict in a criminal case. However, they can issue a directed "not guilty" verdict.

Color always comes into play for the LEO shootings. This is no different. Sad times we are in.

Judge will be ruling on that today.
The judge CAN'T say yes if she disallowed the introduction of Treyvon's school records. Not to mention that George Zimmerman has been out of school for how long now?

She can if the prosecution "opens the door".

I don't think logic works in this case. regardless of evidence, or the lack thereof. I believe the jury will decide based on emotion, preconceived notions, and pressure. After all, even if there's no chance of finding 2d degree murder, they may convict based on manslaughter due to the following:

a) I don't know if they will be told, or will be aware of, the fact that manslaughter in this case will carry a penalty (30 yrs) just as severe as 2d degree murder because TM was a minor. They may believe the lesser charge of manslaughter carries a much lighter sentence than 2d degree murder.

b) A 17 yr old unarmed "boy" was killed, and we must do "something."

c) The possibilities of riots, or retribution against them, or just being label "racist" if they acquit.

I hope I am wrong, but my gut tells me otherwise, that the "facts" and the "law" in this case are rather immaterial. I believe the case will be decided by "feelings" over "facts."
