Post by Phoenix6410 »

I am considering working weekends as a commissioned security officer. I have a full time job Monday through Friday and would like to work on weekends to make some extra money. If anyone has any information that would be helpful to me and doing this, please let me know.
Thanks!

Worked my way through college, well most of it as a commissioned SO. What kind of info are you looking for?

If it is how to get commissioned, the easiest way is to hire on a company with the stipulation they'll put you through. Otherwise Google licensed commissioning academies and get certified and then apply. Last I checked you cannot be "commissioned" until you are certified AND employed by a company licensed to provide armed security services.

Depending on your asignment it should be a pretty easy gig but it doesn't normally pay much more than minimum wage. Non-commissioned normally pays minimum.
