It's really a shame that courage like that is practically non existent in these times.
(Not to take anything away from the bravery of our current US Forces)

Just trying to say that the Alamo contingent knew what they had to do, knew they would likely all be killed and hoped for relief. They stayed in the face of death and died for what was right and of course will be remembered forever.

Now if the fools in the Fed Govt. could wake up and take a page from Texas History and apply it, we would all be better off today.

Its sad when you read history and realize Santa Anna wasn't so bad compared to recent Presidents.

Wow, some of them were really young. Daniel Cloud, my ancestor was only 22 when he died so bravely (brother or uncle to one of my great great great grandparents--the story gets a bit unclear at that point). Bravo, young brave men.
