Re: Trying something out
Put up the tree, etc., today. I hate that job. Too much work for not enough return. And then you have to take it all down in a month. Bah-Humbug!

Re: Trying something out
It is not the putting up I mind as we have fun reminiscing over each ornament. I don't like the taking down!

Re: Trying something out
"... not enough return..." - try not putting the tree up until Dec 23. That's what my folks did the entire time I was growing up. And they always took it down New Year's Day. So just over a week. I grant you, Mom, and sis and I as we got older, put up all the other decorations on Black Friday. But no tree until two days before Christmas. Always a live tree, so I loved the smell.sjfcontrol wrote:Put up the tree, etc., today. I hate that job. Too much work for not enough return. And then you have to take it all down in a month. I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
