Why do you want to kill me? I haven't done anything to you. I'm hurt, nay injured, nay wounded... mortally... deep down inside... that you would harbor such hatred on my behalf. May I offer to assuage your homicidal feelings with a peace offering of cookies and hot chocolate, or are we past the point of no return?

I've heard that BF3 is pretty great. If they release a Mac version (and they allow cross-platform gaming) I'll look you up. I just bought the new Zelda game though so I'm trying to get through that first.

PS3 for me. Battlefield 3 is uh-may-zing.

For those who dont have it, in Call of duty MW3, one of the sights you can pick is an eotech with the flip to the side mount. I found it neat because its a similar setup as to what I am working on getting for my AR

AK with ACOG or eotech. My favorite weapon on that game.

I beat the campaign earlier today, and will move up and try to beat it on veteran now. I love gaming on Xbox live, but I usually run through the campaign a couple of times to familiarize myself with the weapons and brush up on skills before I go and battle against the little monster 12 year olds who seem to prestige every ten minutes.... Ugh.

Anyone bought Battlefield 3 for Xbox yet? I am concidering it... looks awesome.

I am a gamer, but a PC gamer. Mostly FPS (of course, ;-) ). I recently got finished playing the new Deus Ex game, fun enough but not thrilled with the ending. And the games I have liked the most in the last couple of years have been the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series from the Ukraine...LOTS of guns, most of them based on real ones. I am most looking forward to the new Max Payne 3 and Far Cry 3 that are due out next year.

Understood. For what it's worth: Activision regards the PC as an archaic vestige of the 20th century, and contracts out their CoD games to be simply "ported" from their console versions. DICE has a massive passion for PC gaming, which is why the PC version has 3D stereographic support, GPU-based PhysX, Motion blur, high framerate, etc. In the past, console vs PC gaming wasn't very different, but things have been changing a lot in the last couple years. Still, consoles deliver EXCELLENT value for the money, and there's something wicked cool about playing an FPS like BF3 or CoD on a 60" HDTV :)

I came >this close< to buying a 70 inch Sharp TV this past weekend. The only thing that stopped me was the fact that my living room just ain't big enough for that kind of TV. Oh... and the wife would have definately, absolutely cowed a brick had I brought home one. ;-)

Occasionally I will play Delta Force Blackhawk Down. At one time there were 1,500 plus on the online game. Now it is down to around 300 +. It was a good series of PC games that started in 1998 I believe. You can use some nice sniper tools if long distance is your favorite.

MW3 on the Wii right now. Wasn't ever a FPS player until the women here gave me W@W and Black Ops. I didn't like MW3 at first but after the update and a new internet connection I break even once in a while. I am OFC Snake in both MW3 and BlackOps. OFC stands for the Over Forty Clan and they have members on PS3, XBox and PC as well. Playing with these guys (and gals) on Teamspeak raises the entertainment level immensely.

Wife, kids and I played DAOC for a few years. Tried WarHammer, twice. Not much of a gamer myself anymore except infrequent low-level DAOC battleground or WarHammer free-trial runs. Kids have played Rift, WoW, but are mostly into Xbox/console games these days. I liked DAOC PvP, mostly, was hopeful for Warhammer, but it didn't work in the long run. Not really into the FPS or space games. Seasonal Elf-bowling.
If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my children will have peace.

Just got BF3 and bought a new 1 gig video card that should be in before the end of the week. Guess my AR build is delayed a few months!
