Chandler Police Detective Seth Tyler was unsure of the type of gun, or whether it had a safety that was off. He also says it's unclear if Seto has been released from the hospital or suffered any permanent damage. He also indicated that Ms. Christopher is now looking for a new boyfriend

There may be more to this story than the original article indicates.

His pants were saturated with blood but there were only a few blood spatters found nearby, police said.

On the phone to 9-1-1 dispatchers after the shooting, Christopher said Seto was bleeding heavily.

“He is still conscious, there is just a lot of blood,” Christopher told 9-1-1 operators and dispatchers.

Investigators are also looking into why the two left their house on foot and headed to the Fry’s in the first place, and are wondering if the two were leaving their home for a reason.

Seto told investigators he had tossed the gun’s magazine into the parking lot, but police found that and the spent shell casing in Seto’s pants’ pockets, the report said.

Those with only passing gun knowledge are quick to preach "What about the safety?"

Many handguns have no external safeties including all 3 of mine.
