Actually, If it can be proven in court, he can be removed from office and all laws, statutes, edicts, presidential orders, etc., he has signed would be immediately voided. There is also the possibility that Biden could be charged as an accessory and convicted of a felony, thereby being removed from office, serving time, losing his law license and losing all of his government pension(s). The same could happen to Obama.
But the main benefit would be the pair out of office BEFORE the next election and inauguration.

But don't you think if it was possible that some concrete evidence was available, somebody would have been able to dig it up by now? This fits that perfect niche of most conspiracy theories...possible, but unlikely.OldCurlyWolf wrote:74novaman wrote:Frankly, at this point even if he WAS born in Kenya, there's not a whole lot that can be done. Frankly, I think unless you came out with a real bombshell proving beyond a doubt the man's been lying, it makes those talking about it look as bad as the "9/11 truther" nuts and distracts from the legitimate and dang near innumerable reasons we should be talking to people about as to why we need to vote this guy out.
Talking about failed policies may yield results and win us gains in 2012. Saying "I read on the internet that he was born in Kenya" isn't going to do the same thing.
Just my .02 on the whole matter.

The GOP seems to have formed a circular firing squad.
BTW, did y'all hear that Exxon posted an $11,000,000,000 profit in the 1st quarter of 2011. Did anyone other than me buy petrol today? I had to wait while Brookshire Bros. in Rusk turned off the pumps to raise the cost of diesel $0.04/gallon on fuel that was in the ground at the store because the price of undelivered crude rose to nearly $113/barrel.
Is this a great country or what?

Re: the long lost birth certificate
This is very interesting. It is very easy to reproduce, go get the original Certificate there are lots of places that have it, download it and zoom in on the "1" in the upper right corner where the birth number is. You will need a copy of photoshop of some kind, there are free version of photoshop clones on line if you dont have it. You will see the "1" is pixilated but the rest of the numbers are not.esxmarkc wrote:Here is my issue with this "official" document:
It shows absolute evidence of electronic doctoring - notice the "1". Obviously photoshopped. As far as I'm concerned this makes it null and void.
Would any governmental entity accept a birth certificate from you if it showed such evidence?
My computer guys at work said that is not unexpected and is not evidence of tampering. They said it is because of compression in the PDF, they showed other locations such as a comma where it also happens. They were surprised that Obama did not provide a high resolution low compression scan for everyone to see, and believe he did this on purpose to make people look like fools.
It would seem that everyone would be trying to find people who were born during that time to see if the birth number is duplicated. Now that would be really interesting if that happened.

From Exxon themselves:
For every gallon of gasoline, diesel or finished products we manufactured and sold in the United States in the last three months of 2010, we earned a little more than 2 cents per gallon. That’s not a typo. Two cents.
and only 3% of their revenue was from sales in the US of gasoline....but yes, we should absolutely pick on those evil oil companies, and not those who are printing the dollar faster than Charmin prints out rolls of TP, thereby devaluing the dollar and raising prices of commodities for us all.Last year, our total taxes and duties to the U.S. government topped $9.8 billion, which includes an income tax expense of $1.6 billion. Over the past five years, we incurred a total U.S. tax expense of almost $59 billion, which is $18 billion more than we earned in the United States during the same period.
Give me a freaking break!!!!

Buy gold, short the dollar, go long commodities. It will more than pay for your fuel.

No one cried in the early 80's when oil hit $10/bbl. What the market giveth, the market taketh.

{Sigh} Really folks this think, I really thought the people here were above conspiracy theories like this. HE WAS BORN HERE END OF STORY. There are plenty of valid reasons to not like Obama, this is not one of them and it discredits anyone who still thinks he was not born here,

Obama fueled this conspiracy by refusing to release his birth certificate long ago and resisting, to the tune of millions of dollars, attempts to get it released.loadedliberal wrote:{Sigh} Really folks this think, I really thought the people here were above conspiracy theories like this. Personally I could care less where he was born. He's a Marxist, and he never should have been the Democratic nominee, much less the President of the United States. But a reasonable person must admit that his constant expensive efforts to hide his past are at least odd, if not downright curious.
I personally think he does it because he enjoys prodding the real nuts on both sides of the aisle. He's figured out that all he has to do is lie with his mellifluous voice and charming manner and half the boobs in this country will swoon and think of him as a wonderful guy. The other half will bang their heads against the wall and complain about the braindead half. Meanwhile he rapes the Treasury, destroys the currency, spits on the Constitution and turns the nation into his idea of a socialist paradise where freedom will be a distant memory shared in dark whispers when one is sure no one is listening that would turn them in.
As the once great nation, America, swirls down the drain of failed states, to be replaced by something that every immigrant instantly recognizes as the very thing they sought to escape from, the only solace I can take is that I don't have much longer to live so I won't suffer nearly as much as my children and grandchildren will.
The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

Andy, I got it from the horses mouth, so to speak. Exxonmobil put up an interesting page regarding the current "people who make money are evil and we hate them" boogy man hunt the oil companies are experiencing. Of course, their interpretation is slanted in their favor, but the numbers alone are interesting.AndyC wrote:I absolutely didn't know that - thanks for the info74novaman wrote:

Re: the long lost birth certificate
The oil companies are simply the whipping boy for the gov't (and the MSM) to blame for high gas prices to keep the "masses" angry at the wrong people. Of course Exxon's profits have gone up over the years, but not their "percent of profit." How in the heck can you meet the ever increasing worldwide demand for oil, with emerging markets like China and India, without raking in more money?? Simply put, if you owned a widget shop and sold 1000 widgets in a year at a net 10% profit, and made $100,000 net profit, and the next year sold 2000 widgets at 10% net profit, you'd make $200,000 net profit or the same 10%. It doesn't mean you raised your prices one bit, but your gross revenue doubled! Exxon and the other oil companies are simply selling much more product than in the past due to worldwide demand, hence their net profit total keeps going up from sales. That's coupled with the increasing price of oil, which Exxon doesn't set. In fact Exxon's 9.2% profit is less than the industry average, and less than the S&P500 companies averages. But due to huge sales and a very high GROSS, they are the easiest target to blame for high gas prices. It takes a huge amount of money to explore and drill for oil. In the early nineties, when oil was $6 a barrel, I don't recall anyone weeping for Exxon and the other oil companies.
