Re: A hijacked ICBM?
I just got done watching a very interesting set of video comparisons on Fox. They played the video of the recent "contrails" and then another, very similar video from last year. To my untrained eye, they looked the same. Then they showed a video of an actual missile launch, side by side with the "contrails" It sure looked like they were similar, too.
I do understand that human eyes can play tricks on the brain but it sure looked like all of the videos had the object heading perpendicular, not anywhere near parallel to the horizon. I know that there are planes that can stand on their tail and go straight up but this looks like a very long path of straight up. I'm not buying that it was any commercial airliner. You would have a lot of reports from very scared people on board after a ride like that.
Lastly, they talked about radar coverage. The area is one of the best covered in the world, with the most sophisticated, state of the art radar available. No radar operation is verifying a plane in the suspected area. If it was a plane, someone, someplace should know about it in that air space. Any other alternative is just plain scary.
I don't have my tin foil hat on but there sure are a lot more questions than answers in this matter. I'm assuming that it was something military and that there is some reason not to disclose exactly what it was and why this happened. That is fine. It is when everyone plays dumb that I get worried. There is a whole lot of "dumb" being played on this one.

It's obviously an alien ship that's been resting in the ocean lifting off into space. With all the UFO sightings around the world in the last few weeks - and now this - I think it's obvious we're being reconned for the main invasion force.
I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords.

Flying balloons at lower altitudes (much like a helicopter would be at) in the early morning just after sunrise, or late evening just before sunset, the lighting can do some strange things. I agree with those that say it is a contrail from a commercial airliner. I have seen similar contrails myself. The direction of travel for the jet is toward the camera, and you see the contrail extend from the horizon up to the plane. The sky at that time tends to also magnify and diffract things as you look through the atmosphere toward the horizon, especially if there is a lot of moisture (like over the Pacific) in it. Between this bending of the light, magnification and angle of viewing, it would appear the contrail is going straight up, when in fact it is actually coming toward you at an apparent upward angle as it gets closer. Also, as mentioned, a current model ICBM hits speeds of 18,000 miles an hour at burnout and would be out of sight very quickly. This one stayed in view way too long.

Sorry guys, I've seen a lot of jet cons and that sure don't look like any I've ever seen. Looks more like the shuttle to me.

Re: A hijacked ICBM?
And I keep saying, I've seen a lot of rocket launches over the west coast in the late afternoon/early evening. That ain't no rocket. Period. And I've seen the Shuttle coming down too, and it is moving a LOT faster than that contrail in the video, and that ain't the Shuttle either. I lived in SoCal most of my life before moving here, and I've seen jet contrails exactly like this one many MANY times. That this story has legs in the news cycle is a testimony to both the gullibility of the American public, and the fact that it must be a slow news day.danpaw wrote:Sorry guys, I've seen a lot of jet cons and that sure don't look like any I've ever seen. Furthermore, a blogger already has a photo of another contrail exactly like the one in question, but taken 24 hours later. It is a daily flight from Hawaii to Phoenix.
Wow.

I'm going with this.... After all, not all conspiracies are theories.Kythas wrote:It's obviously an alien ship that's been resting in the ocean lifting off into space. Re: A hijacked ICBM?
I don't want to be conspiricy guy but c'mon. Maybe if I had been there to see it in person maybe I could see it. But on this video I can't squint enough or look at it sideways enough or upside down enough to make it look anything like a plane. If it's an illusion and it appears to be going up, that means it would have to be coming toward the camera if it is really going parallel to the ground. If it's coming toward the camera it would eventually pass overhead but it doesn't, it just keeps going up and away and gone. General McInerny was on Hannity last night and he has flown jets for 35 yrs and has seen lots of missle launches and he said , 100% , it was NOT a plane! I guess he could be wrong but he is not a guy that has no credibility. I sure wouldn't be the guy to tell him he's wrong.
