Wow... so screwed.

And this I find this pretty disturbing that the airport security did not have enough notification to get their cars set up at entrances once they saw him going for the airport.

Having worked such a job at Love for several years, I can assure you that adequate warning would consist of much more time than what was available. Someone would have to notify the Federal Security Director, or his assistant, who would then have to make the decision to use personal vehicles to make such a block, because there are no Federal Security Vehicles located at Love, and then get volunteers relieved from their watches to actually do the blockade.

Of course Dallas Police could have done it a little quicker, I think they have two or three cars at Love, and several bicycles and a couple of Segways, but I doubt that anyone would expect him to go into the airport, an obvious dead end.

Thanks for the play-by-play...dead end at the airport. Did he think he was going to fly the car out of there?

It was insanely easy to be on tarmac. Imagine what a real bad guy can do now after seeing this live on TV. Scary!

I was referring to the Dallas P.D with city vehicles who are at the airport... I see them all the time.

We got a chance to watch this live, too. It seems that Dallas PD pursuit policies kept them from taking action earlier. Once the BG crashed the gate at Love Field, everything changed. The red pickup that was used ahead of the BG at the airport could have been seen earlier in the chase. Apparently, it was dropping stop sticks in an effort to slow him down.

On one of the news channels, an airport security analyst predicted big changes in the security setup for Love Field. My guess would be that there won't be any more pickups driving through a gate.

Didn't this chase start somewhere in the Fort Worth area? Surely some department, somwhere, somewhen during the two hours had an opportunity to bring this thing to a close......
