It is funny how things have changed since this forum began. We went from thinking law enforcement where somehow worth supporting, to realizing they are all jack booted Nazi's. What changed? Them? Or did we all wake up?

If it helps, I am a retired cop and still support law enforcement in general. I cannot support a lot of what I see going on these days, and I know it would never have been acceptable when I was active (retired in 2009). So yeah, law enforcement has changed.

I have not been a big fan of the FBI since at least the mid 1980's though, so that has just become more public. It seems like they have gotten worse about taking political sides, but that was because under J. Edgar they blackmailed everyone that he thought might be useful to him. Looking at it now in hindsight, they were just as politically motivated then too. The difference seems to have been that the sides they took were so overwhelmingly supported by the US public that it did not seem like a political hit job (anti-communism and anti-civil rights jump to my mind).

Some great thoughts! While I always knew organizations like the ATF had serious issues and had long been deeply concerned about their abuses, it floors me that the FBI today now appears to be even worse.

Ex-FBI Intel Chief Says DOJ Has "No Case" Against Trump
....Kevin R. Brock, the former assistant director of intelligence for the FBI and principal deputy director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC)...

“As president, he had broad, legally intimidating authority, established by law and court determinations, to declassify any and all documents and to determine what is and is not a presidential record,” Brock wrote.

“Trump and his legal team have asserted that this authority was exercised while he was still president. Therefore, a violation of these fairly low-level and seldom-prosecuted document-oriented statutes cannot be proven.”
Essentially confirming the raid was politically motivated and that the affidavit does not even articulate "how a federal law was or is being broken"

Everyone who signed off on this raid should be fired and prosecuted.

I was raised to respect law enforcement but unfortunately as I age I have nothing but total contempt for them. Especially the 3 letter branches. It is funny you brought up J Edgar. You are correct. He was the most corrupt FBI leader of all time.

It is sad because the rank and file Police Officers for the most part are simply trying to do their jobs. During Covid, most restaurants were closed. There was a Mexican food place in Plano that stayed open but used every other table. There was a table with four Plano Police officers eating across the restaurant. We put their tab on our company credit card without saying a word to them. That was during the time when everyone was hating on cops. The problems seem to be coming from the top of these organizations, not the bottom. The FBI flat out needs to be cleansed of all upper management. However it is done, it must happen.

Funny thing. I hate Donald Trump. I think he is a stanky Yankee not worthy of peeing on to put out the fire. I voted for him, TWICE. Why? To turn that Washington cesspool upside down! I knew he could not be bought and paid for! I wish we could get him elected again but I feel there are too many Trump haters. It pisses me off he did not cleanse the FBI and DOJ! He should have fired every darned one of them!

Found some more illegal behavior by domestic extremists:
The 2022 annual transparency report by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (“ODNI”) reveals the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) has been surveilling millions of American citizens — without warrants or proper cause.

Between December 2020 and November 2021, the FBI scoured private emails, texts and other electronic communications of 3.4 million U.S. residents, without obtaining a single warrant. Between December 2019 and November 2020, just under 1.3 million Americans were surveilled in this manner.

A senior FBI official accused by whistleblowers of sabotaging a Hunter Biden probe has left the bureau, according to multiple reports.
Thibault, who had been with the FBI for more than two decades, had been on leave for a month and it remains unclear if he was forced to resign or if he left on his own accord, the report noted.

Thibault was at retirement age and being escorted out is standard protocol for those who leave, according to CBS.
A small victory, but it sounds like this extremist is still bringing in a government check.

FBI agent Timothy Thibault hid intel from whistleblower on Hunter and the ‘Big Guy’ Joe Biden
...Bobulinski spent over five hours secretly being interviewed by the FBI on Oct. 23, 2020, about his inside knowledge of then-presidential candidate Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s business deals with China.

The previous day, he had revealed in a press conference that Joe Biden was the “Big Guy” due to get a 10% cut of a lucrative joint venture with Chinese energy firm CEFC, according to an email found on Hunter’s abandoned laptop.

...there is no excuse for not following up with Bobulinski afterward.

The FBI’s failure to do so amounts to interference-by-omission in the 2020 election.
The FBI had the goods on Joe and Hunter's corruption before the election and did nothing. It is easy to argue that they protected and aided corruption at the highest levels of government.

During his program earlier this week, Fox News star Sean Hannity reported that at least 20 FBI whistleblowers have reached out to Republican members of Congress about the corruption inside the agency because they know that the current Democratic majority isn’t going to do anything about it.

FBI scouring social media for threats.

I’m sure we are on their daily reading list.

Apparently retired former government employees are not especially happy with the direction that many agencies are taking. Being vague on purpose.

How many guys on this forum are sleeping through the take over by government of the people? Just curious. Please take offense if it applies!
