Biden weighs sending thousands of troops to counter Russia

Seems this would have been a better idea two months ago.

President Biden is considering sending a few thousand troops to Eastern Europe and the Baltic States as part of a broader NATO effort to bolster NATO allies that border Russia and Ukraine, given recent tensions, Fox News confirms.
…except that there is NO broader NATO effort to help Ukraine directly. In fact, the U.S., Great Britain, and Estonia are the only NATO countries so far that have been lending aid to Ukraine, and Germany is in fact actively blocking any efforts to aid Ukraine…right down to trying an dictate to Estonia what they can do with some howitzers that Estonia bought from some other country, which had in turn bought them from Germany. Germany thinks it can dictate what others can do with stuff Germany hasn’t even owned in decades.

And by the way, this would be the same quisling Germany that hasn’t ever spent the 2% of GDP on national defense, which is the minimum amount required of member nations by the NATO charter. Why should they? They’ve got tens of thousands of American troops covering their worthless butts.

Germany's new chancellor is disgusting, and they are an untrustworthy ally at this point. They see Putin as the strong horse, and they’re backing his play. (In their defense, Germany probably sees the US as a gutless and untrustworthy ally with Bei Den Jo at the helm.) For my money, we should bring our people home, and let Germany defend herself for a while. Maybe when they’re faced with the reality of it, they’ll sing a different tune. It's my opinion that if Russia conquers Ukraine, then Romania, Hungary, Czechia, and Poland will be next on the block…since Russia already dominates Belarus and Moldova. Putin's not done by a long shot, and the major players in NATO are cowards who have deliberately taken the easy route and made themselves Putin’s energy slaves. It’s interesting to me that those NATO countries that were once either part of the USSR, or were under the USSR's control, are the countries that now seem to most value liberty, and are most willing to defend the liberty of others.

The only silver lining in this poo sandwich is that, by concentrating his tank brigades along Ukraine’s border, Putin has made Russia somewhat weaker in other areas, and this is something that might be exploitable if a hot war breaks out. S2 Underground is a very useful YouTube channel for intelligence analysis in the region.

Another Afgan-war-like of 1980s is brewing. The US would arm the resistance of Ukrainians so they can inflict the most Russian casualties. Putin would lick his wounds and would be forced to settle for a peace plan and retreat to the Russian borders.

Don't worry, Russia has utterly no intention of invading Ukraine.

See, now there is the exact reason why I don't want even one young American to die fighting in/for Ukraine. Those bums in Europe have been resting on OUR laurels for a LONG time. They've used us to cover a lot of their defense so they could spend the money on social(ist) programs. I mean, how much money did they spend on all those precious "migrants", the same ones who came to Europe to commit crime, after crime, after crime against European citizens? And how did the "leadership" there get people to go along with all of that? By handing out largesse, aka "free stuff", basically subsidized by the US taxpayers. It's all been done here, too, but we have the 2nd Amendment, and I believe that has helped shape some resistance in this nation. The 2nd is about a lot more than just guns.

Both the USA and the Europeans are walking on the same road...the Europeans are further down that road, and just about ready to fall off the cliff at the end. I sure hope enough Americans will take that as a sign and turn around before we go over that cliff, too.

Perhaps it might be better, Mr. President, if you were more concerned with the American People than with your image in the history books.

But, wait! Hunter Biden made millions from Ukranian company Burisma. Uncle Joe can't just abandon his good friends! Putin's gonna make it personal to the Biden family wealth if he invades Ukraine!

Don't feel bad, Ned. It seems your administration is having a hard time understanding much of anything. So you aren't alone.

Well, Bidens may have some "interest" in Ukraine
So, Mr. Biden threw himself into what seemed like standard-issue vice-presidential stuff: prodding Ukraine’s leaders to tackle the rampant corruption that made their country a risky bet for international lenders — and pushing reform of Ukraine’s cronyism-ridden energy industry.

“You have to be whiter than snow, or the whole world will abandon you,” Mr. Biden told the country’s newly elected president, Petro O. Poroshenko, during an early 2014 phone call, according to former administration officials.

That message was delivered just as Mr. Biden’s son Hunter joined the board of a Ukrainian gas company that was the subject of multiple corruption investigations, a position that paid him as much as $50,000 a month and —
