i need to call my shop and order 3 more new 1911s to make sure it does not get that empty feeling :anamatedbanana

Ahh that’s a good problem to have! Needing a bigger safe means you have to buy more to fill it!

got it all delivered and set up

whats the consensus of leaving the rifles in cases in the safe? i prefer to grab and go, not go looking for my gear and cases
my ar 10 case is big and has lots of stuff on the case,
my other lock box i just left em all cased and

I don't like keeping my firearms in their cases due to the possibility of trapping moisture, causing rust and pitting on my firearms. My safe has a "golden rod" in it that does a great job of keeping the interior air dry. All my cases are in the same closet and my ammo is all in the same cabinet so I don't have to "go looking" for anything. I keep my range bag on top of the safe with everything I might need at the range in it.

Not to mention that the cases take up too much room in the safe.

If you put them in cases in the safe you turn a 27 gun safe into a 12-15

i have a dehumidifier thing in the safe.
i may have to go get a wall cabinet to put near the new safe for all the cases. ammo is locked in separate lock box
got lots of re-arranging to do now. old lock up was smaller .

guess a trip to lowes for a wall cabinet is next. :biggrinjester: space is becoming a premium real fast in the loading room :anamatedbanana

I don't know how much ammo you have but it get's real heavy. I literally collapsed the top shelf under my wet bar where I store all my ammo. I had to reinforce it before putting it all back. It sounded like someone ran a car into my house. It was at night of course. But anyway.... just a heads up.

I have mine on a 3/4 thick piece plywood in the loading cabinet on wheels its re-enforced every 12" so two plastic bullet holder cases fit side by side
between uprights, i too bent it on first load up, i am amazed at just how fast 230 grn bullets make such weight changes :biggrinjester:
its still a major bear to move
reload table is 2' x 4' and 42" tall with shelves sized for 8 lb powder jugs x3, then boxes of bullets then mid shelf is all built up stuff and lower shelf is brass and vibrator and stuff
rolls on 4 , 6 " polyurethane wheels with locks, they still squish the rubber stall mat pretty good

its a beast . once i get safe ironed out of how i like it , i plan to move several k rounds to the floor of the safe.
