Re: How Silicon Valley, in a Show of Monopolistic Force, Destroyed Parler
I've always found it interesting that we get so excited about a foreign government having any type of influence in our elections, yet we sit silently while real election interference is happening from private companies that operate under licenses and regulations issued by our government. I'm not just talking about bias here, but actual interference.
No one said a word when CNN rigged a 2016 Presidential debate by feeding questions to one of the candidates ahead of time. And there is very little uproar about the current coordinated attack by major Tech companies that is intended to silence the leaders of one of our 2 major political parties, while simultaneously driving a competitor out of business.
If we are serious about "protecting our elections" then we should start by criminalizing this type of election interference. And that includes prison terms for the executives of the companies that are involved, not just fines.
But even if we don't care about the integrity of our electoral process, then the coordinated attack on Parler should result in a break-up of the BIg Tech monopolies that are unfairly killing off their competition. These include Facebook, Google, and Amazon.

Parler will be back. I don't have a Twitter account, but I'll sign up for Parler, just because.
