Early Merry Christmas to me

#1

Post by Tex1961 »

I’ve always wanted one. Found this “new to me” 2016 Willys and had to take her home. I’ve spent so much already on accessories but I’m making her mine.

Absolute joy to run around in

not a jeep guy, but what is different on the willys jeeps? is it missing options and harkens back to the G.I models?

Thanks, it’s basically still a wrangler but just a bit different trim style. We needed something to tow behind our Motorhome when we go camping. My truck was 13 years old and the price was right on the Jeep. I work from home and probably only drive 10 to 20 miles per week so I didn’t need a highway vehicle. We’re planning a trip out to Palo Duro canyon in the spring nd it will be perfect for that.

Sheesh. You’re telling me. My wife is about to take away my debit cards. New headlights, running boards, grab handles, American flag tail light covers, console lock box for my pistol. And lots of other small things. I’m 60 and haven’t done auto work for probably 20 years. I was under that thing for 2 hours the other night. I forgot how hard concrete is on old bodies. But so much fun. Jeep’s are the AR-15’s of the automobile world. Everything is made to be easily swapped.

Thanks everyone.

You should check if they are going to put on the play "Texas" and attend if possible.

contact me when you are coming. the canyon is only 40 miles from my house.

I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.

You need a white star painted on the hood.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Yea... you and my boys..... Not quite ready for that yet.. I did put the American Flag tail light covers on and just painted a distressed flag on the hood cowl.... Waiting for the paint to dry on that one....
