The other thing is, unless enough people are willing to head down to the local civil servants office and proceed to committing violence. Plus be committed to a full on revolt. Then there is nothing you can do unless you happen to get a judge to agree with you, and that well after the fact.

I work part time for FedEx, today we were all provided with a "letter". in the event of a "stay at home" order being issued, if we are stopped by LEO on our way to or from work then we are to show them the document along with our FedEx ID. The letter states that we are involved in providing an essential service and therefore should be allowed to continue on our way.
So this almost 67 year old will not be staying at home, at least not until I get infected.

I remember reading about another group of people who had to provide papers to authorities when stopped in public.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

I have a young lady who takes care of an elderly lady in our church. She was given a special ID for work. Today she was stopped at 7:00AM just to see why she was out.

This might be the interesting question. Almost all police departments that I am aware of have issued orders to not make traffic stops for most violations. If it is reckless or endangering people go ahead, but not the general stuff. This is to protect the officers from the virus.
That is the word I am getting from the members of various police groups I am still a member of on the internet.

Re: Dallas Ordering New Tough Restrictions
This could be interesting. I have to go through two counties and several municipalities to get to our church. We are doing recordings for online services and I have a rehearsal today for the recording session tomorrow evening. As I understand it, those preparing the online worship have been given an exemption for the shelter in place directives but that doesn't mean that all of the organizations that might be involved have gotten the entire message.
I thought that it was ironic last night when they were talking about the "patchwork" of restrictions being imposed by the various organizations and that people could easily be confused about what can be done where. I wanted to scream at the TV "welcome to the firearms topic."

I don't really see much different in San Antonio, even though we're under a "shelter in place" order. Of course, traffic is lighter because schools and many "non-essential" small businesses are closed, otherwise everything's pretty much as usual. Tens of thousands of cars going everywhere, people lined up at Home Depot buying spring gardening stuff, etc.

Re: Dallas Ordering New Tough Restrictions
Kind if a semi off topic question here with the imposed restrictions, per law they say we can fish as we will keep some to eat. Hunt & Kaufman Counties, also plan on stopping by gun club on the trip as is only 5 minutes more, really I am honestly taking some household goods really to give to a friend's family they need so am legal to do so? All keeping a safe distance as required. Gun club is half way to meet and few people there.
We have no meat here fish will be a good meal.
Friend's family needs household goods and are cancer patients. All 100% true and correct.

While I don't live in Dallas County, I did tune into the live feed when that happened last week. I will say it was quite amusing to watch.ELB wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 8:32 am I had not heard that the Dallas County judge he got his wings clipped a little bit by the other commissioners, But happily I live nowhere near Dallas:
