Re: Its not the weapon
I call for legislation that mandates universal background checks on any sale, trade or exchange of socks, hosiery, pantyhose, leotards, leg-warmers, or any type of clothing designed to be worn on the leg and constructed in the shape of, or similar to, a tube (collectively, "hosiery"). Further, a special license from the BATFE must be obtained to possess hosiery in which one end of the hosiery has a sewn, sealed, or otherwise closed end. High capacity hosiery must be banned. There is no practical application where hosiery needs to cover more than only the foot or a small section of the leg (e.g., the calf or knee). Such high capacity hosiery allows extreme levels of destruction because a weighted implement inserted into the hosiery can be swung with force magnitudes greater if the closed-toed hosiery is over-long. Only standard capacity hosiery should be on the feet of the American citizens, and a national confiscation program must be implemented to remove dangerous, high capacity hosiery from our streets, our homes, our schools, and our churches.

Why does anyone really need bar soap? There should be a law requiring everyone use body wash. Well, wait a minute. Then some guy will put the bottle in a sock and beat someone to death.
