The movie: Joker

I haven't been to a movie theater in a while, I wanted to see Ad Astra, but I lost and we went to see Joker (The Joker).

It shows how the Joker of Batman fame got started. Very well done. Not what I was suspecting. It was rated R and it was rated correctly.

No typical comic book type stuff this was about serious real life, somewhat.

Gotham looks a lot like New York City and guns are illegal, that is clearly pointed out. A lot of innocent people are killed with one illegal gun. I don't know much about revolvers, but the bullets seem to have a lot of powder part. A magnum? It was a very small short barrel revolver. I've only fired one like this once and will never again. The Joker however with no range experience hits everything he aims at with significant damage with each shot. He is also very good with the quick draw from concealment. Anyway gun lovers will say if guns were not illegal, the city would be safer. Anti gunners will say "see guns are bad".

I enjoyed the movie, even though the "hero" is a bad criminal. I usually don't like movies where the hero is a bad guy. The Joker may win best actor as his portrayal of a guy moving from semi crazy guy on meds to full psycho is very convincing.

However, the whole point to my post is, there was an armed guard outside the door to just our theater for the entire movie. Had a glock.

The theater is posted. I figured they might do that for the opening weekend, but this was the second weekend. It was showing at maybe 4 theaters in this multiplex theater, so that is 4 guards. If your going to post a theater, this is what you should do.

Got a good point, at least that theater had some protection. Been to one a few years back posted with no guards at all and to this day its still like that. It's a older theater nothing special like those fancy ones you see in big cities. Didn't have my license back then so had to leave the pistol in the truck, or did I ? Can't remember ;-)
One of my biggest mistakes in life...Is Believing people will show me the same love I've shown them. :reddevil

We went to see the Downtin abbey movie a few weeks back, my wife said it was at the Angelika and at studio movie grill. The Angelica is .06 posted, SMG isn’t. I sure enjoyed my coconut battered chicken fingers at SMG 😁
