CDL training

Post by Treoe »

Guys and gals,

Looking for some help on getting my CDL. I've failed the pre-trip on a class B CDL. And am needing some help, job is currently not really helpful. And the booklet, well sucks for me. Not how I learn. But I am looking to get my class A, get me a better job to be home and provide for family. Help. Thanks :txflag:

Each DPS location is different, I know they aren't supposed to be since they are a state run operation, but they are. Finding a good source for information as Schleprock gave is what you need to start. And as he said "take notes". What to do with your notes? Glad you asked. List each item individually and what you would say about it. Next, give that list to your significant other and let them call out each item of the truck and you tell them what needs to be said about it. Phases like "properly mounted and secure, all bolts are present and tight, no damage cracks or leaks" and etc go over well. But go over your list of truck parts like a grade school study drill and it will give you the practice of informing someone else of what's going on in your head. Work hard and it will happen. Good luck
