That sign is stored in the museum. They don't display it.
Also, Audie Murphy enlisted in the Army in Greenville.
I really need to go to the Audie Murphy / American Cotton Museum next time I'm out that way.

I have visited several times. You'll enjoy it. There's a book there with listings and newspaper clippings circa WWII about local men who were in the military. Most all my relatives are buried very close and my mailing address is Greenville I really like it here, I do remember the Lee Street sign very well, we used to have 2 picture shows the Texan and Trail drive in also, Brookshires has many original pictures of early Greenville on the walls here
