Re: CA: No place but California
Do you know what happened 169 years ago this fall....back in 1850?
California became a state
The people had no electricity.
The state had no money.
Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
There were gunfights in the streets.
So basically nothing has changed except the women had real breasts and the men didn't hold hands.

CA moves to allow felons to serve on juries.
Every day it’s something more insane.

Crime fighting robot deployed in California.
They deployed one in SF and the homeless people smeared poop on it and tipped it over.
Maybe in the jazzy suburbs it will work out better.

HUNTINGTON PARK, California – (CBS) Police in Southern California are turning to technology in order to fight crime by deploying a robot out on to the streets to keep a watchful eye over public area.
The robot, dubbed “HP Robocop,” is described as an “autonomous data machine” and is expected to be officially unveiled by the Huntington Park police department on Tuesday.
Equipped with 36-degree video cameras, Huntington Park police will deploy “HP RoboCop” to monitor and surveil areas such as parks and city buildings. The robot will then be able to relay video footage from its cameras to police headquarters in order to facilitate fast and safe responses from police officers.
“HP RoboCop” will also be able to roll down sidewalks and recite phrases to members of the public, such as “excuse me” and “good day to you.”
Huntington Park lies about six miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.

University of California at Santa Cruz will remove the painfully hurtful mission bells from campus that symbolize the Spanish Mission churches along El Caminio Real. (Kings Highway)
I guess the University is the site of one of those missions.
Anasazi tops invader Spanish since that only started in the 1500’s.
