The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

I don't know for you guys, but I've recently read this article at work and it had me questioning what I believe in : https://tranio.com/articles/will-the-un ... ntre_5404/
I voted Red in 2016 as I had been doing since 2000, and I thought that the stories of Trump following Russian interests was nonsense peddled by Democrats who couldn't admit to themselves that they had chosen one of the most unpleasant candidates in American history and lost badly because of that, but that's an article from a Russian real estate company that says that Trump's reforms made it very interesting for Russians to buy real estate in the USA... I honestly don't know what to think about it, and would have liked to hear your opinions.

I don't see how that is any connection with the great "Russian Conspiracy" theory.

I agree with lightning, not thunder.
If the US becomes an offshore tax haven for Europeans, that doesn't mean the foreigners have any greater ability to meddle in USA elections than they already do, or more than the USA meddles in other countries' elections for that matter.
It will be interesting, however, to see what other countries do if the USA becomes an offshore tax haven. The MCAA requires sharing information between signatory nations. The USA is not a signatory and doesn't have to share information BUT that also means other countries don't have to share information with the USA. Shades of the tariffs/trade war.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
All I know is President Trump is a boon to our economy!
Why is that?
Because he's created an economy that isn't beholden to domestic commies.
Rather have a weak, limp wrist for a President? (another obama?)
Not me.
Plus, he doesn't tolerate much anti-American foreign nonsense.
Oh wait, it'd be better to acquiesce in the face of (socialist/communist) disagreement?
Nah, that's for home made commies...
Is our President cuddly?
No!
Is he effective?
Yes!
That's makes the most corrupt, greedy politicians (both both sides) angry.
Good...

Well, the previous administrations made it appealing to Chinese- they bought up a ton of real estate. As long as foreigners can buy property here, they will.Thunderbolt_47 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 12:59 pm Trump's reforms made it very interesting for Russians to buy real estate in the USA... How can someone be considered to be a justice on the Supreme Court when they do NOT have endorsement by the American Bar Association?bblhd672 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 5:07 pmLies and obfuscation are only relevant when done by Republicans.mojo84 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 5:04 pm These two are actually questioning him.

Bleumenthal even brought up the legal theory that our you catch someone lying about one thing, it discredits everything he says.
History repeated itself. At least it had a spell of deja vu when the American Bar Association released an extraordinary statement at a crucial moment that raised concerns about Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh’s nomination to a powerful judicial position — just as it had done 12 years earlier.
Late Thursday evening, the ABA called for an FBI investigation into sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh before the Senate Judiciary Committee voted on his Supreme Court nomination. The warning was all the more remarkable, because just hours earlier, Kavanaugh and his Republican defenders had cited the ABA’s previously glowing endorsement of the nominee — “the gold standard,” as one leading Republican put it.

Where does the article from a Russian real estate company mention Trump?Thunderbolt_47 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 12:59 pmI voted Red in 2016 as I had been doing since 2000, and I thought that the stories of Trump following Russian interests was nonsense peddled by Democrats who couldn't admit to themselves that they had chosen one of the most unpleasant candidates in American history and lost badly because of that, but that's an article from a Russian real estate company that says that Trump's reforms made it very interesting for Russians to buy real estate in the USA... It mentions the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement (MCAA) went into effect in 2017. True enough, but the treaty dates back to 2014 when Obummer was POTUS. We weren't signatories to the MCAA in 2014-2016 and we're still not signatories to the MCAA. There's no "reforms" inherent in lack of change.
