Poll: Native or Transplant?

#1

Post by Jusme »

I know that there are several members who were born and raised here in Texas, and several who were not. I just wondered, what the actual numbers were.

I was born in Lubbock, and lived the rest of my life near the DFW area.

Moved here a month ago with my wife from Bergen County, NJ after she got promoted to her company's HQ in Irving. She was born and raised in Manhattan, and I'm from Jersey. We love it here already.

Born, raised, and have lived my whole life in central Texas. :txflag:

My home address has always been in Texas, however I did spend four years in Louisiana for college.

A sad story....
Everyone in my family born and raised in Texas, except me, born in Georgia, but raised in Texas.
However, since I was born on federal property, I claim Texas.😀

I selected "Born and Raised in Texas and never left", but that's not exactly 100% true.

I spent just over 22 years in the USAF. I lived lots of places but Texas was always home, in my heart and officially (home of record).

Born in Sherman. Lived in Texas until I joined the Army. Always claimed Texas as my home of record. Voted in Texas elections by absentee ballot. My first child was born in Germany in an Army hospital. Her eight siblings were all born in Austin.

I have lived in and visited other countries and states. Retired to Texas and don't expect to claim any other home in this life.

Born and raised here. My mom's family came here from Tennesse in 1846 and settled in southwest Lamar county. Proud to be from Texas but would rather live in west Texas. Hate the climate in northeast Texas.
