I will agree with you that Manafort has been found guilty of multiple crimes, and he should be held accountable for those crimes. While Cohen has pled guilty, he may just not want to deal with the hassle. I can't say for sure since I have not seen any of the evidence. In either case, I agree that a person who has committed a crime should be held accountable. I'm still trying to figure out how these cases/convictions pertain to the alleged "Russian Collusion" that Mueller was supposed to be investigating.dale blanker wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 5:06 pmphilbo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 2:55 pm Trump’s longtime lawyer Michael Cohen has surrendered to FBI as he prepares to plead guilty in federal investigation.

Cohen says he violated campaign finance laws at the request of the “candidate.”
This has always been my fear. Never Russia.
A winning day for the liberals.
November becomes even more important.

This is why it’s impossible talking to liberals. Rather than answer the question, you just want to divert. I truly believe that the money is trivial, especially compared to the more than $50 million spent on the whitewater investigation. But, it could be worse... at least it's not $30-90 million for a military parade to satisfy trump's ego.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
Yeah right... not the end. It may look bad, but unless Trump told Cohen, "Give Stormy Daniels $150,000 to keep her quiet," or something along those lines, he did nothing remotely illegal regarding the campaign money issue.
Here's the most likely scenario. Trump learned about a couple issues he had to deal with, but didn't have the time or capacity to take care of it personally. He decided to call on a trusted associate to resolve those issues for him. "Cohen, take care of the problem, please. Bill me when you're done. Thank you." Trump probably really didn't know of the hush money. I bet he just saw the bill later (which most likely have far more on it than just the plea deal(s)) and paid for it without asking any questions. It's not like he had the time to review it in detail, especially considering Cohen's one of the few people he trusted. Cohen most definitely acted out on his own, as evidence by how he procured the money to begin with. That would also explain why Trump never signed the Stormy Daniels NDA. Trump may say a lot of things, but his denial of knowledge and direct involvement is probably one of the few times he didn't use hyperbole.

Mark Levin explaines that the Clinton’s lawyer, Lanny Davis, has pled Cohen guilty to something that’s not a crime.
You are a dummy!

Trump may never face justice.
Mark Levin seems to believe personal funds were used not campaign funds. So no crime was committed.

Ok, but if the money was used to benefit the campaign, isn't it supposed to be accounted for?philip964 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 3:13 pm https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/politi ... story.html
