Watched their coverage of the election results along with all the other usual sources. WJ called the election for Trump long before any of the others.

My mother. But she only talk to me as I sleep. After that it is not trust but who is writing, for whom and purpose ? I still read major printed paper (Houston daily and New York once a week). Internet is newsfeed. It changes by the second. The ads money is the driving force. On the pages are drops of true but many filters shaping the story.

Correct.......... and don't forget the Babylon Bee. As a musician, this recent story has kept me entertained.....repeatedly: Church Service Canceled After Guitar Cable Identifies As FemaleSkiprr wrote:Scott left out his most trusted source for critical, unbiased reporting of hard news: The Onion.ScottDLS wrote:NBC, MSNBC, Huffington Post, CNN, New York Times, Washington Post, anything by Michael Moore...
According to worship leader Vince “Capo” Becerril, he attempted to plug the cable into the female connection on his Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar, but was informed by the high-end quarter-inch guitar cable that it was “really a female” and was henceforth demanding to be utilized as such, otherwise it would not participate in further services.
When Becerril attempted to argue with the cable, pointing out that it that it was clearly the male counterpart to the female connection and reminding the piece of musical equipment that service was starting just a few minutes, he was called a “bigot” and informed that he was on the wrong side of history.

This just in, Representatives Alvarez D'Addario (D-MA) and Marshall Fender (D-CA) have co-authored a bill for the first 2017 session on the Hill calling for the full gender-neutrality of all electronic and associated items. Dubbed by critics the "Internet of Things Bathroom Bill," the legislation would madate the equal empowerment of all items that are electrically operated or connected, or capable of being attached to such items, to be able to self-identify as male, female, non-gender, or any combination thereof. The Annoyed Man wrote:According to worship leader Vince “Capo” Becerril, he attempted to plug the cable into the female connection on his Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar, but was informed by the high-end quarter-inch guitar cable that it was “really a female” and was henceforth demanding to be utilized as such, otherwise it would not participate in further services.

Spent a lot of time watching X-Files; so 'Trust No One'. Truth and accuracy are the first two casualties of media reporting. Sometimes glean facts from a bunch of different google'd sources and draw my own conclusions......

OK, thanks for the feedback, especially the serious ones. I've been checking out some of the Internet prospects that many have mentioned and will continue to do so. Some of these are really nasty though and make me worry about the kind of material that is becoming so popular.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Unfortunately, I don't know that there are any truly unbiased news organizations out there right now. If I want to understand what Trump is saying, I'll look at his Twitter feed. If I want commentary I will watch the "news" shows but need to understand and adjust for the bias of the source.

Yes, it seems to me that the media was much less biased (remember Cronkite, Huntley-Brinkley?) but I do think PBS is pretty objective (except when Brooks and Shields are on, maybe) and Time Magazine is highly respected. Ah well...

Close, but no cigar. It makes sense to trust (but not necessarily "blindly believe") our intelligence agencies but not to expect they should predict our elections.Bitter Clinger wrote:Deleted: Meme about trusting Intelligence agencies

But I scored! Once again, we fail to agree on anything!
