Please Recommend A Urologist In The Clear Lake Area

#1

Post by Abraham »

I just discovered my urologist Dr. Morneau has retired.

Bummer.

I loved the guy. He was crusty, never minced words, was highly opinionated and one very competent doctor.

So, who do you guys go to when you have to?

Thanks!

I don't know him personally but he took really good of my dad, my mom still uses him & she has been a nurse for over 50 yrs, she doesn't work anymore but she does keep her certificate, so I guess he is good. His name is Dr Barnes, he is in Clear lake area, but I don't know exactly where, hope this helps. I can get # from wife if needed

brokedown48,

Thank you kindly, I'm fairly sure I can look up his number.

Keep em coming, as I don't know if he'll accept me as a patient or accepts Medicare.

Some doctors won't accept a new Medicare type patient as I've sadly discovered...

Thanks again brokedown48, I very much appreciate your taking the time.

If you want another Urologist who is crusty, never minces words, is opinionated and competent then I would recommend you schedule a visit with Dr. Wagner at Bay Area Urology. He might be just right for you. He has a small office on professional park drive and I think that he works at the office on Tuesdays and Fridays...

allisji,

Thanks for the recommendation.

Actually, he/she doesn't have to be crusty, etc., just competent will do me just fine, but if the adjectives of crusty etc., apply, well, alrighty then...

Thanks again allisji. Mucho appreciated.

Our primary care guy has to refer us to another physician for our Medicare and supplemental to kick in....I think. Either that or go to the ER.

I really liked Gary Hurwitz. (You're not supposed to like your urologist). I had to change when I became eligible for Tricare as retired reservist and he wasn't in network.
The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

I will second Dr. Wagner. I had to go to Morneau for one of my kidney stones because Wagner was unavailable (don't remember why now). Went back to Wagner just as fast as I could.
