100 Deadly Skills: The SEAL Operative's Guide to Eluding Pursuers, Evading Capture, and Surviving Any Dangerous Situation

The book has amazing reviews but I put off reading this book for awhile because I'm not a Navy Seal and I don't think that I really need 100 "Deadly" skills.

That said, the title of the book is a little misleading. The author is describing in easily readable detail the survival training he received and the equipment he used (both commercial and improvised) during covert and clandestine deployments. While there are things in the book I'll probably never need, there are useful tips for concealed carriers.

He came and spoke to our CERT team I think last year or the year before. Very informative.

Emerson put out a follow-up version a year later titled 100 Deadly Skills Survival Edition: The SEAL Operative's Guide to Surviving in the Wild and Being Prepared for Any Disaster. I have that one and <mumble mumble> haven't really even browsed through it. And he published an earlier book (that I don't have) titled Escape The Wolf: Risk Mitigation - Personal Security Handbook for the Traveling Professional.
