Just curious and always learning. What is a slide fired device?

Without searching, i'm taking a wild stab that slide fired would be things like keltec sub 2k and others that use say a glock pistol as the actual firing mechanism.

It's one of the stocks that slides back and forth, allowing sustained bump fire from the shoulder, immitating full auto.Liberty wrote:Just curious and always learning. What is a slide fired device?

Yeah, thats what my first impression was too, but that didn't make any sense. Why?? I suppose 90 yd targets might be more difficult with pistol grade ammo. I think the following might be the correct answer though. It makes some sense to me.loktite wrote:Without searching, i'm taking a wild stab that slide fired would be things like keltec sub 2k and others that use say a glock pistol as the actual firing mechanism.

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

90 yards is very doable, just ~1/3 the velocity.Liberty wrote:Yeah, thats what my first impression was too, but that didn't make any sense. Why?? Wish I was helping teach this one, but I'll be next door teaching the LTC class that Saturday morning.
