Re: Hunting with a Howitzer
Too each his own, I guess.
If I through a wall of lead balls the size of a japanese car, something is bound to get hit.

I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

Oh don't get me wrong....where is the sport in this kind of hunting? But I am just astounded that someone did it and had to share. Idle hands I suppose.HighVelocity wrote:Too each his own, I guess.

Re: Hunting with a Howitzer
Looks very tongue in cheek to me, including the fact that all of the holes in the carcass resemble each other just a little too much. I suspect photoshop.

Ahhhh see even being raised in the digital age, I am a gullible person! Believe nothing of what you hear and half of what you see, right? Certainly something to considerjimlongley wrote:Looks very tongue in cheek to me, including the fact that all of the holes in the carcass resemble each other just a little too much. Whether it's real or satire (looks to me like the sort of thing you'd see on The Onion), it's being exploited by the anti-gun/anti-hunting websites.

Is that like hunting rabbits with a 12 gage shotgun?

Re: Hunting with a Howitzer
Ain't nothing wrong with hunting rabbits with a shotgun. Plenty of small animals are properly hunted with a shotgun.amber wrote: Is that like hunting rabbits with a 12 gage shotgun?
Just use the right kind of shot. Perhaps it's more like using 2 barrels of 3 1/2" 000 buckshot on a rabbit.
Re: Hunting with a Howitzer
I thought howitzers were traditionally for high angle fire.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If it's on the internet, thank a geek.
