Is it possible to get your conceal carry in Idaho at 18 as a Texas citizen and use it in Texas? I believe Texas has reciprocity with Idaho with no apparent restrictions.

Thanks

Welcome to the Forum. You have to obey Texas laws even when carrying on another States permit. In Texas you have to be 21 to obtain a LTC or be in the military.

But, interestingly, does the reciprocity agreement override the age restriction, as those under 21 may possess a handgun but not buy one.
I'd like to see an answer to this myself.
OP- You could contact the Governor's office (if questioning the reciprocity agreement) or the State Attorney General's Office here:

This is like the example of Texas LTC reciprocity w/ New Mexico. They recognize our license, but not for anyone 18 - 20, regardless of military service or not.
Under Texas law, we only recognize 18 - 20 for active military, guard, texas guard service.

In Texas deferred adjudication is a conviction for LTC purposes. If somebody with deferred adjudication gets another state's permit, are they prohibited from carrying in Texas until the waiting period is over?
