Another Home invasion with terrible results!
This occurred in HARTFORD, Conn. Three family members die due to the acts of these two thugs. Hope they get the chair!

words cannot express the pain over such a senseless thing.
i want to say that it's a sad thing that we cannot leave our doors unlocked at night in this day and age, but in truth, when could we really ever?
a good dog and a good .45 (and the willingness to let both do as god intended them to do) is the best defense in such a situation.

I heard another news report that gave additional details. Apparently, the wife told bank employees what was going on and to call the police. The bank was close to their home, so she and murder number 1 were back there before the police could arrive. The report I heard said they were arriving as the murders were leaving.
Out of respect for these people and the surviving husband and father, I don't want to discuss what his wife might possibly have done differently -- perhaps later in an unrelated thread. I'm sure she did what she thought was best for her family. Let's pray for this man and the rest of the family. I cannot imagine how he will ever recover.

This is tragic and sickening. It's bad enough to murder these people, but to let the two girls burn to death speaks volumes about these guys. I wonder if they have the death penalty?

Yep...They have it, and these guys qualify under Connecticut law. Aggravating factors include homicide during the commission of robbery, and murdering someone younger than 18.Charles L. Cotton wrote: I wonder if they have the death penalty?

You may be waaayyyy back in a long line of others that don't have a problem with that...hoss4570 wrote:I saw these two slugs on Fox news. I would be PROUD to shoot each of them in the face with a .12 guage. Just give me the chance and I will gladly pay my own expenses up there do do a public service.
Seeings how they were actually out on parole, and this being an obvious violation of that parole...
Due process you say??? Okey Dokey!!!
I would think there would be a criminal court that would clear some space next week to get the ball rolling on this one...
I'm not sure there is going to be much of a problem for a jury to determine anything other than the obvious...Lets see if Connecticutt has the stones to deal with this without dragging heals...Swift is just as judiciously expedient and proper, and will give them more than enough due process to handle any bleeding hearts out there...
Somehow I don't think I am going to hold my breath though...

and these clown didn't have a history of "violent crimes"?????
when is this pathetic society we live in going to realize that breaking into and stealing from a habitation IS an act of violence.
I have personally had my back door kicked in and had many totally unreplaceable family heirlooms as well as a lot of insured "stuff" taken. No one was in the house (1986), but my late mother in law could have very well been sitting in the living room in a rocking chair, oblivious to the world around her. These cowardly thugs that kick in doors and enter homes are just going to see a helpless old lady and suddenly say "oh, sorry ma'am.... wrong house" and leave? Yeah, right..... burglaries aren't violent crimes.... until someone is home.
We should be ashamed of ourselves as a society for electing politicians and judges (or electing politicians that appoint judges) that have so weakened our system of enforcement of and punishment provided for in the hundreds of thousands of existing laws in this United States of America.
rant not over.... I just reserve the right to continue at a later date

Notice that one of the charges was "sexual assault." That means rape, but they won't say that of course. They also don't show a picture of the perps, which I think they should.
Doors locked, dog in house, security system armed, several loaded guns by the bed and on my person even when I'm home. People think I'm paranoid.
EDIT: The perps are pictured on the side. I thought it was something different since it was video...
