:woohoo

We now have more members than several standing armies around the world!! It's a good thing, we are not the crazed, trigger happy, demons MDA and others paint us to be. We could really be a force to be reckoned with!! :fire

A little over 6% of the 21yo+ population of Texas. That's awesome. Subtract those that aren't eligible and it gets even better.

That's not really a surprise. It would more interesting to see counties ranked by % licensed per county population.

Would really be interesting to know percentage in each county of eligible persons (or even 21yos and up). Might be hard to determine the number of adults that are prohibited.
Roughly 35% of Texas' population is under 21yo.

Using these two links, (first for LTC by zip code, second for population by zip code) my zip code has 10.2% of the adult population with an LTC.

New License To Carry issued by year: https://www.dps.texas.gov/rsd/chl/repor ... aphics.htm
The year 2016 saw the largest number of new licenses issued, both in totals and increase over previous 5 years. Outstanding Texans! :txflag:
2016: 369,117
2015: 217,588
2014: 246,326
2013: 242,641
2012: 146,367
2011: 143,725
