I was there today and had no problem. Meet PB& Jelly and we where in front of a HEB for over a hour both carrying and showing each others toys. I have never had a problem in Waco other then the baptist and the alcohol thing.

That is not just in Waco.

My first job out of college was as night manager of the Plantation Foods feed mill which at the time was almost directly across the I-35 from the Baylor campus. I used to go across the interstate to the HEB for my midnight snack, and I have seen enough drunk Baptist kids in togas to last me a life time. I bet their rich Daddys would be so proud.LOL!

Man dont go to WACO! You are asking for trouble! ;-)

Seriously, I come down to Waco all the time with my family. As TXI said its the same as anywhere else in TX in regards to your CHL. If you get a chance visit the Cameron Zoo while you are there. We are going down in a few to visit the Texas Ranger Museum and go back to the zoo. The Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco is neat too.

Safe Travels

Umm....why would a baptist be in a liquor store?....Unless he was married to Mrs Olsteen...

Umm....certainly not to buy alcohol! Especially since recreational consumption of alcohol is one of the seven deadly sins.

I can remember being asked if I wanted my beer in the bottle or baptist, baptist being served in an amber glass with a slice of lemon on the rim and an iced tea spoon in the glass.
Oh well, my great aunt, born and raised a Congregationalist married a Catholic and converted.
Many years later I heard her talking to some of the family, said as a Congregationalist, she could get a divorce, but one bottle of beer and she was going straight to Hell, but now that she was Catholic, she could drink all she wanted, but if she got a divorce, she was going straight to Hell.

There's a really cool Pawn shop there.
can't remember the name to save my life.
has a bunch of guns, leather, and guns.
and a really nice staff that really likes to talk guns.

and they're CHL friendly.

they have billboards on I-35.

We lived in Waco during the late 90s while my husband was in college. Crime rate there is pretty bad. Bring an extra gun.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
