My Glock 19 has been resurrected.

Fear of printing has always kept my Glock 19 in the drawer. Open carry has given it a rebirth. Starting today it took top spot on my carry list. Half the trigger pull weight and three time the capacity of my snubnose. I'm really liking that open carry makes concealed carry a breeze.

I've put at least 2,000 rounds through the 19 since I purchased it in 2003 (10 round magazine, thank you GWB for 15+ capacity). I remain impressed with the reliability. Put Trijicon sites on it recently, works nicely.

That's great! I got Gen 4 & roughly about 5k (flawless) since Father's Day last year & are looking for sights. I can't decide on sights, Trijicon's? I've been looking at those & Meprolights & Truglo's & couple others too. Can't decide cause they're all not cheap & wanna have no regrets. I hear good things about them all & not so good,, :confused5 . I also have the factory OEM light that is awesome. :thumbs2:

Oh forgot,, 4-33round mags & 4-15round magazines to help keep any & all boogie man's out.

I conceal carry my Glock 19. I do buy shirts one size larger than what I need so that it is loose, but I have done that will all my guns.

Zatoman, I'm very proud that you're resurrecting your G19, but I'm curious as to what specific holster(s) for your G19 are you resurrecting too?

I, too, enjoy a G19. Mine is a Gen. 2, bought in 1992. Has about 400 trouble free rounds through it. It's still one of my favorites.

I've always been able to CC, with moderate comfort my G19, G17 to a lesser extent, but it never really printed too bad. I was always aware of positions to avoid of course

Maybe it's my awesome physique :headscratch

Glad you got it out of the abyss! :thumbs2:

I also have a Glock 19 and love it. Fits very nicely in my Blackhawk Serpa Concealment Holster. Great product!

I know what you mean. I carried a full size 1911 for the first time yesterday. My back is a bit sore from the weight, but it was nice to know that I had that type of firepower on my hip.

Just a 15-yo old minimalist Bianchi 106 size 13/15. No "Made in Mexico" stamp like my newer Bianchi model 77. The old Bianchi has much softer leather, especially on the inside.

Just for kicks I looked up the current Bianchi 106. Full retail is $39.99. I'm sure I paid over $60 for mine in 2001. That probably explains the difference in quality.

Can I ask... Are you OC'ing the Glock now or just not as worried about exposure with the new law?

Had you accidentally exposed before, you weren't breaking any law. Something tells me that you probably could have carried the Glock all along if you're CC'ing it now just with less concern.

Nobody, I mean NOBODY, notices any sort of "printing" through clothes and almost nobody would notice a very brief accidental exposure.

When I cc now, with either my Glock 19 or my Glock 43, I do not worry if my handgun becomes exposed by either reaching for something or by a gust of wind. Nor do I concern myself with printing. But I never intentionally expose my Glock while cc. . I am just more comfortable with my Glock in a holster on my side covered by a light jacket or coat. Several people have observed my handgun from time to time but have never said anything nor did they have a frightened look about them.
I open carry sometime but when I do, its mostly outdoors not inside a business. Its just my comfort zone.
Just my opinion. I'm sure others feel different.
