State of Texas employee D.A.D.S.
Okay guys I'm looking for some info and a pic yells brain and see what you think. I am a state of Texas employee I work for SSLC division. They put out a policy to us that we cannot carry open or concealed even if we have our LTC I don't know if state law allows them to do that it is only the SSLC division of the state that is put this policy out. If a visitor comes they are allowed to open or concealed carry. We are not a prison, a school, or a hospital. What we are is a living center for people with lower than average IQ

Are they saying you cannot carry at work, or you cannot carry at all?

They're saying we cannot carry at work. But an email we got says that all other state employees are allowed to carry work as long as it's not a prison or a hospital or a school

My understanding was as your employer, the State could prevent you from carrying much like any other employer can. They just can't prevent the general public from doing so...
