Patronage poll

5 days into the option of open carry, I’m seeing a lot of “opinions” on whether or not the posting of signs by businesses equates to support/non-support of the 2nd Amendment and how we, as consumers, will or should react. I’m curious about what the actual numbers might be.
Please answer the following so we can get a better picture of our forum member’s proposed actions/reactions regarding specific signage.
I'm asking about businesses you’ve used regularly prior to Jan. 1st 2016;
Thanks,
Dave

tonight I went to a community grocery store here in San Leon, I went to get smokes milk and a six of road beers(joke about road) I saw a 30.06 sign I disarmed went in and told the guy behind the counter. "15 years I been coming here, and because of that sign I won't be back and sorry I don't need anything because of that sign" I went back to my truck as the clerk tried to talk to me and drove away and took my business to a big box convenience store instead. so 30.06 in any form is a business relationship breaker for me

I selected no on all three options. Any kind of sign banning either or both carry methods is a deal breaker for me.

I don't mind a 30.07, I can easily throw my handy-dandy black shower cap over my rig and go to concealed mode. However, a 30.06 is a deal breaker. What is worse is that I am seeing 30.06s pop-up where they never were before.
Taking your business elsewhere isn't enough, have a quick meeting with the store management and explain that turning their store into a 'gun-free' zone makes them more susceptible to robbery and violence. Criminals don't care about laws. If they are willing to rob, batter, maim, or kill they aren't worried about the signage.

I think that three people misread the question.

I can't say yet, I haven't run into either sign so I haven't been forced to choose. I'd like to think I'd go somewhere else that allows OC and CC

Because they would open carry and still shop? Maybe the business is OC friendly but not CC friendly.

At the time I commented, there were three people on both 30.06 posted w/o 30.07 and 30.06/30.07 posted.
I can understand a business preferring people to OC, if they actually thought that posting 30.06 would cause all CCers to OC. I would assume that many licensees (and all unlicensed carriers) would continue to conceal however. Then it would be ineffective to post a 30.06 sign.
I suppose that if a store that I frequent posted a 30.06 sign but welcomed OC, then I would just OC. However I don't see that being likely and I would prefer to carry concealed

As a general rule, I'll not do business at a places that post either as much as is practical but I reserve the right to do so in unusual, exceptional or emergency circumstances.
I.E. I seriously need to use the bathroom and the closest place to do it is posted. And while I'm there I need to procure new undergarments.
or I'm on the road and need to get fuel and the station I pull into is posted. I'm not gonna drive around town looking for fuel when I'm about to run out, the first place I come to will have to do.
Stuff happens.
Now I can't control my wife and she says she will still shop at HEB because she likes the meat better there than at Kroger. She also shops at many other places I don't approve of.
So does that make me guilty? Is it practical not to eat the meat she cooked for dinner and run out and get something else? I'll guess I will have to do all the grocery shopping from now on.

Why wouldn't you take a chance on trying to persuade them into changing their policy? The guy was trying to talk to you.

What about the ones that post no sign but, advise you when you enter? Those I will treat just the like a 06 business. The 07 only I have no problem with, as I have cc' ed for years.

because all he was saying is that I had to come back during the day and talk to the daytime guy, not worth wasting my time
