Ha! Four TLAs in one message title! I should win something for that!
With all the postings about the explosion of 30.06 and 30.07 signs in the area, here is a happy story for you.

Apparently, Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) has affirmatively stated that concealed and open carry are acceptable in the public areas (e.g. baggage claim, ticketing) that are not behind security.

Texas' new Open Carry Law has gone into effect across the state.
As a result, the Houston Airport System has announced what the new law means for travelers at Bush Intercontinental Airport, Hobby Airport, and Ellington Airport.
Starting Jan. 1, gun owners with proper licensing will be allowed to openly carry guns in properly secured shoulder or belt holsters in public areas. Those areas include baggage claim, ticketing, garages, and sidewalks.
Long guns, like rifles and shotguns, are not allowed in public areas. However, passengers can check long guns in secure, hard-sided cases.
New signage has been posted at airport entrances saying, "no unlicensed firearms allowed."
